I probably should know more about the rest of our small board. I do hope there is someone in there to stop Moxey blowing the January was chest on pies.

You do have to think his half a million a year salary might be under some threat (maybe he'll be asking for a rise in the short term?)

I bet he will end up buying the club, leading a consortium.

He ran the club from 2006-2007 when Rick Hayward stepped down as chairman.

What will really change ? Moxey already runs it on a day to day basis.

The next transfer window is months away

If Moxey did buy the club, just imagine how this board would react. *shudder*

I imagine that when the club takeover is completed, whoever buys it will want to install their own people. Moxey departure parties on the streets of Wolverhampton anyone?

I bet he will end up buying the club, leading a consortium.

This has been going through my mind and having thought about it, would it be the worst thing in the world? I certainly have not been his biggest fan over the years, but just a few thoughts on the subject:

It's very unlikely that we are going to attract a multi billionaire.
Moxey knows the club probably better than anyone else.
He is in it for the long hawl - He has been here for ages.
He is a tough negotiator, we know that.
He is thick skinned - He has to be.
Maybe if he was really no 1 and running the show we might see a different side to him.
Hopefully his fellow consortium members would be local people.
We don't really know how much control he has had over the years, or whether he has just been following orders from the owners.
He would be in a position to appoint his own board.
My hope would be that he go some football people into the boardroom.
He presumably must care about the club to some degree. He might just surprise us.

Sorry it's a bit jumbled up, but just a few random thoughts.

Although not a Moxey hater personally, I think his time has to be up when a new owner (unless it's him & a consortium) comes in.

He's more unpopular than O'Hara & Johnson with the fans & those divisions will never heal.

To be fair, he could probably afford to buy us, with the amount of money hes rinsed out the club over the years.

First bit of business this morning Ameobi 6 year deal . Sooner we get a new board in place the better !!!. The club has been drifting for a few seasons now, yes great to see us win promotion but I think I could have got that team promoted from league one. The reality is that £10 million is now the top end of championship signing fees so any new chairman needs a decent amount of money if they are serious about premiership football.

20,000 more like. You can go to Ashley's Jelly and ice cream party and pie and a pint party when your buddy Jezza is unveiled as a new CEO.

It needs fresh ideas, but I am sure he will weasel his way in with any new potential buyers as part of his charm offensive.

I would not renew if that bloke had even more power. He's up there with McGinley, Hughes in my book (waits for backlash) - an enemy of Wolves
