Hull City club secretary Matt Wild has become the latest senior figure to head towards the exit door at the KCOM Stadium after resigning from a post he has held since 2013.

The Mail understands Wild handed in his notice last week but will remain with the Tigers until after the January transfer window before joining Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fixture liaison with other clubs .Sorts out player registrations with FL.All paperwork for the League and Cups amongst others.

What does a Club Secretary do?

He is the chief administrator in the club, dealing with the authorities, contracts, lawyers, etc. In many small clubs the Secretary is effectively the Finance Director and hence also responsible for accounting. I see that Fosun have promoted the previous Financial Controller (Rita Purewal, who probably reported to Richard) to Chief Financial Officer who almost certainly now reports directly to the board.
