Some dodgy agent saying we're in for a major coup to replace Fletch... he's also gone on to say that the player is friends with Morgan and would only consider a move to the Championship because of the friendship ... could it be Owen ? Owen has said that he expects to have a club at the end of august


Although this so called agent wont give anymore details so it does seem dodgy

Why I don't want him/he won't come:

1. Owen has said he's not interesting in playing The Championship. He was quite happy doing diddly squat at Man Utd.

2. He wants to live in the northwest because he's more interested in his racehorses (he travelled to Newcastle to train by helicopter).

3. He hasn't started a match in almost two years.

Hmmm I live in Yorkshire & can get to Wolverhampton in just under two hours via M1/A38/A5. If I went M62/M6 to go to Wolverhampton I'd pass the Chester turn-off en route which would take even less time

I'd like an experienced striker to compete with Nouble for the second place on the bench choice, be a good influence off the pitch and possibly be a pleasant surprise. A sort of Iwelumo for 2012/13. But I really think Dave Kitson - or someone of that ilk - is more realistic.
