Controversial maybe, but if Neves carries on his form since Xmas, as he was imperious again last night, I think he will be player of the season. The tracking back to stop Tielmans getting a shot off has hardly been mentioned, yet saved a goal
He has been superb recently. There was some footage from a training session recently, where they were clearly working on his mobility ... possibly a weakness of his. He looks like he may have lost a pound or two as well .. and reached peak fitness. Now, he doesn’t half get around that pitch. I think this has made the difference in his performance levels. Another great example of Nuno improving what he has.

That’s what he’s being doing infinitely better as of late, really coming into his own now as a proper, class, all-round CM/DM.

Too often last season it would be Ruben too deep, or easily side-stepped giving chances away.
Now he’s rarely out of position, stopping an awful lot, but without sitting on top of Coady.

Not sure if he will be POTS as things are with others but that was some great previously unseen acceleration from him.

Definitely showing improved mobility and speed for sure.

Mick's era we used to have a good go at teams, and score goals from all over the pitch. It was a lot more exciting.
So you’re old skool. Oh well, never mind. "Get at ‘em, push up, boot it and put a shift in".

Those were the days, Rob. They were good when we were there but we’re not there any more.

Some get it and some don’t. Sorry.

2nd season back, reality check please, Leicester are years in front of us.
How many did they score against us and how many of our “goals” were disallowed because of such fine margins the naked eye didn’t see them?
That’s four points we lost from them and two points they’ve been gifted.

Think about it.

Yup, Mick's "good old days", put a shift in, football ability apparently (at least for some) optional and not necessary.

...In the Championship (which we did the same thing with Nuno, goals from everywhere, batter everyone).

In Mick's era in the Premier League we were like a rabbit in the headlights with a fox either side eyeing us up for a quick meal. In simple terms, we were scared of the big boys, not so big boys, and any boy who shouted at us, and we bloody looked it
