Still has plenty of adjusting and work to do, can be a bit dopey, but I genuinely prefer him to nunes. Has huge potential IMV. Had West Ham gone down to ten men like they should the other week, I think he and Cunha would have caused havoc with a bit more space/time.

Played much better at Brentford still concerned he's too easily out muscled in challenges. Some teams may of felt he's too under-sized for the Premier League. Two goals so far is impressive though.

It takes a bit of time to get used to the pace and physiicality of the premier league, I think he’ll be really good in time (probably next season)

Think he’s a good option as part of the front 3, not so sure in midfield.
Yes, agree. He needs to work on his defensive play, he is almost a liability currently in that role.
But it will improve, by spending time on it in training.

Good player and good signing imv. He will settle in more and more and very useful that he can play out wide as well as a No.10. As with Neto, Ait-Nouri and Cunha he actually gives the opposition something to think about when he goes on the attack and dribbles through the opposition..

Unique player.
Low centre of gravity, good upper body strength
Seems to have a knack for beating a man in a tight space and progressing us up the pitch.
Hopefully he can adapt and improve into a quality player so we can sell him to Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool

Sounds rather like some were saying about Pod before he fell out of favour. Let's hope that JR doesn't go the same way.

Was a slightly cynical take on the state of the game (and to a much lesser extent, the club)
Not quite as cynical as me then. Realistically we can't expect to pick up foreign players with little or no affinity to the club and expect undying loyalty. Players join us for higher wages and a career boost. Don't be surprised if they then look to do the same again. Truthfully Ruben was loyal way longer than l expected possibly to his own detriment.

Really like him. Offers some pace and is exciting, has scored two good goals and got an excellent assist away at Fulham. Looking like a bargain at 12m or whatever it is we paid for him. Doesn't roll around like a to553r and throw his dummy out like Podence either.

Great signing.

While this is true it applies to almost every club so not really something to take to heart. It's mot like the club are doing something wrong or could have a different approach.

Pretty anonymous today, but has looked better on other occasions, like a lot of young new players over the years. Currently more Mujangi Bia than Neto.

He looked like he might be able to offer something running with the ball from central midfield in his first game vs Liverpool, but in all other appearances he has been average to appalling. He's not a good wide player and he's not a good forward.

Crazy from GON to keep deploying him in these roles.

He's nowhere near ready, the kind of player other teams would have on the bench and possibly bring on for last 5 minutes. The fact he's getting so many minutes just underlines how weak out squad is, even without any major injuries...

Doesn't really appear to do anything especially well.

Be inclined to cut our losses on him this summer and use the 3-4m to find another Doyle.

He’s been totally anonymous in his last few appearances but to be fair is pillaging out of position. Whatever his best position is o don’t think we’ve found it yet. He had ability but is still adapting.

Particularly when they are played out of position and not consistently.
His first game against liverpool clearly his best position. Hard to judge him today because others were at the same level. Let’s move on and have better emphasis for next week
