Adios Big John, You have been a great servant to the club and we will always have Cardiff!!!

Good luck to you and what is next in your career, you been a huge part of the squad for many years now but you deserve the chance to play week in week out

We will miss his presence in the dressing room, that's for sure. A big character

Spiers’ article earlier said he wants to stay and Wolves want to keep him.

Once again proving his articles are all guess-work!!

Good luck John, thanks for a great 5 years.
Actually said Lage wanted to keep him rather than the club did.

So read in to that what you will I guess…

Been a fantastic servant and a very important part of the dressing room.

Cardiff will always be one of my favourite away games. All the best John!

Always liked John and never really felt worried when he had to deputise every so often for the last 3/4 seasons.

A huge personality gone and a few more to follow. We need to be careful not to get rid of too many.

Interesting. Seems what lage wants and what the club is doing are different things. Good luck John

What article?

Surely we need to pile on Spears for that.
He talks with such authority like he's got a hotline to Jeff.

I don't mind his output (I'm an Athletic subscriber) but **** like that just obliterates any credibility that he's got.

Must have been a late decision about moving him on or he would've got a send off.

To be fair, it may well indicate the GK we’ve been linked with is close to signing and they’ve decided Ruddy can move on, rather than going against Lage.

Who knows, we’ll find out soon if there’s anything in Lage going.

I don't get what Jake Humphreys is getting at with that post not a "proper" send off?! What does that mean..... He got a game against Norwich to say his goodbyes what more could we do?

I know they are very good friends (Jake Humphreys has to say it every Wolves game he does) so Ruddy is obviously rather annoyed about something or how it has been dealt with....

A fantastic servant to the club. Arrived when the place was rocked by the news of Carl's illness. Became a big character in the dressing room.

Very concerned at the way he's worded that. "seems as though". I may be reading into it too much but it's as if he hasn't been told properly.

We’ll always have Cardiff away and incredible throughout that season. Nothing but good things to say about the bloke. True professional. Best of luck for the future Big John!!

Looks like he thought he was extending, then someone told him he wasn't. Thanks for the service JR.

Top professional, that Cardiff save is something you remember for a very long time.

Wish him all the best for the future.

Yeah I don't get Jake Humphrey's message or Ruddy's 'seems as though' which comes across as a dig.

It didn't take a genius to work out he was off when we dropped our best player this season by a mile for him to play against Norwich at home, how is that not a send-off? It's also a game that could have cost us £4-5m. Would Sa have saved Pukki's weak effort? Maybe, maybe not.

I've always felt Ruddy's seemed a bit big-headed for what he thinks he did. I don't think he was that good at all in the Championship and replacing him was certainly the right thing to do. Since then he has regularly struggled in the cup games as well.

Can't knock him as a person and a professional from what we see, so that is rightly getting praise. However, the idea that he deserves some sort of special treatment or a 'send-off' is a bit bizarre.
