Would also like to see Gallagher in a Wolves shirt.
Newcastle I‘d guess, as they build a squad. He’s a full England international, regular in the U21 along with MGW, Emile SmithRowe, Gordon, Harvey Elliot, etc. I‘d imagine he would want ‘top 6‘ wages and would go for 35m and the chance of Champions League, but agreed, he would be a brilliant signing for us Just don’t see us spending big on a Brit

Wolves, fulham and forest have all bought young brazilian defensive midfielders for 20 million. Who got the best deal? Who is the most highly rated?
In keeping with true Mix tradition... Without having remotely heard of any of them until a couple of weeks ago, I can guarantee with upmost confidence that we got the bestest one for tuppence, while the absolute dross brought by the other teams, was vastly overpaid for and will see them both relegated.

... Now here's Tom with the weather.

This is from a Brazilian fan on reddit:

Danilo is a deep lying midfielder with super high work rate. It is easy for him to cover a lot and put pressure on the opposition player. His main job at Palmeiras was to always focus defensively first. Danilo is better at long passing than Joao Gomes. Although he can play box to box because of his physicality, he lacks offensive creativity.

João Gomes is better at positioning himself on the field offensively and defensively. So he is great on combat to steal balls as we, Flamengo, plays in a high press and because his off the ball movement/positioning he is one of our key pieces in the midfield. João is intense and dynamic which allows him to support his teammates everywhere on the field. He goes forward quite a bit, but his shooting isn't great. João isn't tall, so he can't help much with crossings but he will do the work of 2 or 3 players in the mid, if needed. João's passing is simple but he tends to play vertically to help the team go to attack quickly. One thing that he is getting better is to control his physicality. He got a few unnecessary yellows in the last couple years for us.

Both are quite physical and fast. Both prefers to play in a double pivot in the midfield. Although Danilo is better being a single pivot if needed. Both are fantastic and most likely will be in our national teams in a couple years when they mature more.

Take good care of João, please. The boy is a beast! Hope this helps you understand the difference :)

Hes flying tomorrow

Sold by Flamengo to Wolverhampton, João Gomes travels this Saturday to introduce himself to the English club. Tickets have already been issued.

The midfielder was bought by Wolves for 18.7 million euros and can still pay another 1.5 million euros in bonuses.

Tickets?? What tickets

Surely it's private jet.

“he will do the work of 2 or 3 players in the mid”

Perfect. So instead of playing a 433 we can play a 415 since he’ll do the work of 3. Surely we’ll start scoring!

More likely on the mix to be told we have signed the wrong one, wasted the money, should have bought a forward.
But the guys the other teams got are great and they will all avoid relegation, thus ensuring we occupy all 3 of the relegation spots!
Oh and the Baggies are light years ahead of us.

Viktor Gyokeres set up a couple for Coventry today in their win, that's three assists in his last two games, becoming quite the complete striker. Hopefully our interest becomes more concrete in these last few days of the transfer window.

I’m on the fence. His strengths and weaknesses from this report Viktor Gyökeres' kickstart at Coventry City suggest he’s not great against a deep block, doesn’t play well as the lone striker, not rapid. This was just over a year ago so may well have improved.

We normally see a low level/youngest type signingin the last few days of the window, I wondered if we will see a surprise in the next few days - another like Leon Chiwome would be good.
