His scouting report sounds very positive, and a good fit for our fluid attacking style.

Reads like the ideal forward and will fit well into our style if play. Also, exactly what GON said we were looking for. Fingers crossed.

Havent got a clue mate but was hoping those that do might find us some gems from South America as it looked like we were heading that way last January and in the summer as Brighton have been doing so effectively nearly every transfer window.
Sounds like Hobbs was listening

Never heard of Alberto, and it can’t be easy to get a deal done with a Brazilian 36 hours before the deadline; how do we go about getting the medical done to our satisfaction for a start? Still, Tim Vickery rated him and he is supposed to have done well at Zenit before the Ru-Ukraine war. Only 22 and Supposed to be quick, mobile, plays on the shoulder of the last defender so, on loan with an option at £18M, why not?
You probably wouldn't require such a strick medical as it's essentially a loan deal initially....we will probably pay a third party in Brazil to do the basics....

quick fast tricky powerful if he can fit in well fantastic

Gomes Cunha and all the other Portuguese speakers will help the lad settle.

Id say looks like a young quicker version of what Diego costa was, maybe not as strong and powerful (comparing them like for like similar age)

Tim Vickery who seems to know his onions just been fairly complimentary on TS about him. Conversely, doesn't appear to be that impressed with Enso for Paraguay U23 in Olympic qualification.

What did he say ?

I'll believe when he's here, some strange rumblings:

They will have to go obligation wont they 15m obligation far better than 30m on broja

or something similar to option 18m, 15m obligation if scores 5 goals

Hoping its not another enzo fernandes or that italian lad who was playing in argentina, given the time window to do it youd hope they have sense to have an idea how much is needed to get him or what they will need to do

To be fair, they either think he's good enough, or they don't.

Obviously, in an ideal world we would get him on loan with an option. But, we're not in an ideal world. We're entering the final day of the window and the squad is woefully under equipped.

So, if you think Alberto is the answer, agree to pay £15m in the summer, which you may do anyway.

If you don't, walk away and put that offer towards a player who you are sure on. A £15m option will be attractive to many clubs across Europe.

Both a bit of a punt but a 15m punt better than 30m punt on someone who's just recovered from an ACL.

It is possible Corinthians rejected our first bid and we’ll go back with another. It’ll be loan with obligation if he does x,y,z with maybe a slightly cheaper price which means he definitely becomes our player if he does something simple, like go to Compton but the true value comes out if he scores goals. The key factor will be when the payment is made - after or before 30th June. After then it’s easier. Before not so much. Same thing impacting Borja’s sale from Chelsea I’d imagine.
