I am shocked that Everton and Forest haven't had to list multiple players as available for sale .

Just makes a sham of the process get a deduction of points but no need to then balance the books .
I don’t think any player sales now would affect the accounting period they have been punished for.

Forest actually have sold Johnson in this current accounting year so probably look ok going forward.

Everton apparently are heading for another breach next year, but the penny doesn’t seem to drop for them that they need to take it seriously…..

they were in the process of sending holgate out on loan to sheff utd and then at the last minute wanted a fee when he was on his way for a medical. Desperation maybe, or lack of awareness to get someone off the wage bill. I reckon they are putting all their eggs into one basket and hoping to get a good fee for onana in the summer.

Doucoure is wanted by Gerrard's Saudi club shock horror.

Romano says they ain't interested in selling, you can see why they're a mess

Only if Fraser steps up to the plate. But I think thats as a unfair on him as it was on Silva 4 years ago.
Or you feel that three or four points extra that could get us in to Europe are beyond us and its just a season of treading water.
Please look at our bench on Monday and tell me we have cover. Sa and Hwang need better cover IMO .
I think the bif difference is that we had no other alternative to Silva, but we really play with 3 narrow forwards that interchange now, so a number of the wide forwards can play in the centre if they need to.

I actually don’t think we were ever really in for him. Seems to fail the attitude test and is on stupid wages.
Yeah, he would feel like a similar sort of risk to what Silva was. Don’t think we’d do that again.
£10m or less and same wages as Gomes is on and maybe, but the numbers floated seem far too high. Especially this January.

I agree

As we know from wolves all smoke and mirrors any movement will be left field and come from no where.

We can be linked all we want in the press to others and keen may get snippets etc

But the only real like we saw was durosinimi from Percy which then died down

Movement looks like it will be very late if any

9 is priority then winger

Personally I had no issue with Guedes being european, handsome or slightly built, its the fact he cost us a fortune and looked/played like he couldn’t give a toss. Its not just an effort or confidence thing though, he’s just not particularly very good either. Did he look over the moon to you?

Yes we weren’t very good as a team, but I’d feel confident if we brought this guy back into the squad right now he’d look utterly crap.

Hwang had looked decent before having lots of issues with injuries/form, and I’m not sure Sarabia was too happy here before he started getting a regular run. He’s also twice the player Guedes is.
Was it Crystal Palace at home where he looked absolutely woeful and was subbed off after about 60 mins?
Played on the wing and at some point was swapped over sides so he played the majority of his time in that match on the side nearest the dugout and was being shouted at the whole time, and clearly not doing what was required.
That was w(en he looked massively disinterested and useless for me.
However, to be fair, we have had a habit of playing people out of position, particularly out wide, when they are naturally more #8s or 10s and need to be played closer to a striker or through the middle - Hwang, Sarabia, Bellegarde, MGW, to name a few, and all looked poor until played in their proper positions. Maybe Guedes would have been better under GON if played alongside Cunha and behind Hwang?

We 100% made an offer for Ekitike.....How far it got or for what none of us can be sure..
Both players enquiries were made for and then Broja stupid demands put us off.. Late move for Che Adams seems most likely. Why would he come here to sit on the bench?! Hwang will be back in 2/3 weeks.

Hugo Duro who I’d go for loan with obligation to purchase. Covers us in 2 positions

Not what they want anyway. Loans but who is available for loan really. What’s that Luka Jovic up to these days. Can he get a game in Milan?

Said it weeks ago when people were picking faults with Che Adams, Ekitike and Ings , despite some of the faults being true.....we won't end up with better....

We will end up with someone we have never heard off , on a dry loan at best.....

January is an impossible window, especially when ya can't spend ...

It's will be the same for 90% of premier league clubs ...

Bang on. A loan seems realistic not sure if we will get one. The names out there well hardly flattering.

Armstrong from QPR? Loan with obligations?

He’s hardly played though? I am trying to find data for him hardly anything this season
AC Milan are interested in extending Luka Jović's contract. The Rossoneri club is very satisfied with the performance of the Serbian striker (1997), who scored zero in the summer. Jović's contract expires in June but the parties can, by mutual agreement, decide to activate a three-year renewal.Milan is inclined to proceed.
Maybe so but they reportedly want him around all the same.

Durosinimi was probably the choice we would go for if it wasn't for the clear injury issues. Sasa then goes Frankfurt so you think we would go for it see if he's able to recover specialist etc.

But now I can't see Adams,.. ings looks ****e and on to much wages.. Hugo looks like to much wages or to big an option or we can't guarantee minutes more like.

Gon says he wants a starting 9 .. a starting prem 9 you don't get those for less than 25m usually. We have no money to spend so it's an outside pint which has to go right so probably foreign.

Would love it if a gabigol or a Ramos or someone turns up but that really isn't going to gappen

I don't see the point investing massive wages for an Ings, or £5-6m on Adams, if it potentially limits us in the summer. We clearly aren't going down, just keep Fraser around the first team squad. We'd only end up wanting to upgrade on them again in the summer.

Only worth it if we can get a loan with an option for a Broja, Ramos or Ekitike calibre of striker. That's very unlikely though.

We would be full of ****e in our squad if it was left to MEW....
I look at players with potential and young age. Qpr would accept low fee. Same as Plymouth coming mainly as back up and competition.

Kightly came from non league. Lot of it is about desire. If you have that your half way there. Look at mcginn prime example someone who battles and over time add skill. Cheap options is all we can hope for this window. Loans

What's the point if buy and large they aye good enough for a premier league squad.....

If ya want a decent championship player , then normally they command a decent fee.....

Yes they do but we don’t have Rowe/Clarke money this window that discussion is dead really. Play off hopefuls won’t loan us players with an obligation.

Why not a transfer fee, if you can sell the him a year later for the same price ? A man with 33 goals for Southampton and Premier League experience is low risk to me.
But I would guess he is happy staying at Southampton though.
