The quote regarding Benik Afobe doesn't really connect us with him. We were there but could have been watching anyone from Brighton or Huddersfield to be honest

"Arsenal had Kevin Beadell keeping tabs on Benik Afobe, who is back with the Gunners for their FA Youth Cup third-round clash with Darlington at Barnet tonight".

"Blackpool, Fulham, Sunderland, West Brom and Wolves were also there"

I read another article which said we were watching him.

I can't find the article on line, but we have been linked with Robbie Findley, today in the People and we are looking to sign him when his contract finish's with Red Salt Lake.

Link from the Daily Mail, today.

According to that ever reliable source, Wikipedia, his contract is up. Just been checking out the obligatory youtube video. He looks pretty good to be fair, but the quality of defending in MLS is shocking!

Thx Penk Wolf I've added Robbie Findley.

I've actually seen a quite a bit of him over the last few seasons here in the US, and he's actually been pretty good. I wouldn't say he's in the same class as Donovan for instance but he has got some real pace - he's a speed merchant.

Even after managing to hold down a place in the USA team (he played against England in the World Cup if you remember) he's still a bit raw and would be a gamble in the Premier League (IMO). Might be a useful option when Bent goes back though... Here's the video [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-tK80wQIJk"]YouTube - Robbie Findley[/nomedia].

Can everyone please take note that this thread has a very specific purpose. Don't litter it with general chat, bickering, ridicule, etc etc etc.
Its for players we've been linked to only.

So are we allowed to talk about the potential targets in here, or do we have to create a separate thread?!

Its for links/sources of players we're connected with so that SanFran can compile his list. If those links are lost within a whole load of other stuff it makes his task a lot harder.

Want me to add him to the list North West Wanderer?

I'd say so, my mate is a season ticket holder there and sits right by where all the comp tickets are, Wolves coats noticed by him a few times. And there's noone else we'll be looking at!!

Glenn Whelan from Stoke

Wolves plan to raid Premier League rivals Stoke for Glenn Whelan.

Wanderers boss Mick McCarthy is keen to bolster his struggling side’s midfield while Republic of Ireland ace Whelan, 26, has been used mainly from the bench by the Potters this season – despite being a regular for his country.

He only signed a new four-year contract at the Britannia Stadium in September 2009 but had a dressing room bust-up with Abdoulaye Faye in April.

Steven Taylor has signed a new deal at Newcastle effectively making him unavailable.
