Given there was still a lot of blood I assumed it was a muscle tear, in which case I doubt Jota will be back over the Christmas period. Shame, he was in really good form.

I reckon 90% of fans would have MGW in to provide the extra man in midfield and support two attackers, but judging from Newcastle, I think a front 3 of e.g. Costa / Jiminez / Traore is more likely. Trust in Nuno.

Agree that Neves needs a break, however Coady has been excellent in most games.

With 4 games in 10 days I can see a few changes for this and the upcoming games against Spurs and Palace. Would be nice to see Jota back, but wouldn’t be surprised to see recalls for Costa, Cav or MGW.
I’d guess that the Tinkerman will do likewise, especially as they have a “must-win” game against Huddersfield on Saturday

Play Jota instead of Cav if 100% recovered.

+ I would not mind seeing a rare appearance of the lesser spotted Dendocker at some point.

++ If Jota is available then I am itching to see a Costa/Jimenez/Jota combination get some time if the game suits.
