On first glance of the Gomes challenge, I initially thought a yellow is fair/right. Having seen a replay, I still think a yellow and a strong warning would have sufficed, but can see why Gomes was shown a red - especially with the rules as they are now in terms of contact. Most disappointing is the 3 game ban when Gomes just building his form.

Then just seen the stomp on Doyle and you can see there is zero consistency.

Don't remember the challenge, but if the studs were coming down a big force across the players ankle than yeah, dangerous.

It's low, but he's straightening his leg out and he hit the lad hard enough that he couldn't continue. It's a red.

Really dumb too. Just too exuberant. He has to be in more control than that.
