I saw a statement on Twitter which said she was rushed to hospital with a serious infection. There were then further complications at the hospital. As you say, heartbreaking.

I must admit - I was kind of hoping Doherty would score today given that he is/was Benik's best mate at the club. It was awful to hear about this on the radio as I was driving to the game today. You really wouldn't wish something like that on anyone.
