He'd be fantastic. But the club are a victim of their own success. No striker of that level will want to come in and risk being on the bench behind Raul, and Raul can't be dropped to the bench.

Think they’d be many teams after him should he be available

although in essence I agree, no player should be exempt of upgrade should the right player be available at the right cost

There is no reason why we couldn't play
Jota Jimenez Belotti Traore

At the same time or any other striker

I enjoyed watching him, a real eye for goal.
No chance of him coming to us I'd say for all sorts of reasons.
Probably be in a paper tomorrow though as "Belotti linked to Wolves"

A complete, fundamental, change of formation and system from a manager who has shown devotion to one system (three at the back and wingbacks) with two formation variations (343 and 352)

The team could change formation. But realistically, in the 2.5 seasons Nuno has been here, he's played 434 for the majority, with half a season at 352. And in the 352 we had Jota as a deeper running player. Jimenez can do that. His link up play is decent. But I don't think Nuno is the type of manager to buy a player specifically to change formation. In the time he's been with us he's much more focused on bringing in players who fit his preferred systems.

So for a striker, I think we do obviously need cover for Jimenez, but we also need to see it will be a player who is cover for Jimenez. I think it's also likely they'd look to bring in a player who can fill Jota's role with more goals, but that's not Belotti.

Hmmm, don’t think we will be buying Italian strikers for a while

Have my doubts about Italian players temperament tbh.

Other than Vialli and Zola at Chelsea and maybe Ravanelli a few years earlier what Italian players have been any good in the Premier League?

2 Lasagna.
3 Ribollita.
4 Palenta.
5 Ossabuco.

Di Canio and Carbone maybe, but not many have moved to an English club to be fair.

Tortellini also works with him.

Belotti is very good and it would be different with him as he his naturally much more mature than Cutrone.

Only way it would work is if Jimbo was offski though.

Belotti plus an AM might be just about adequate to cover the loss.

realistically, I don't think wolves have a cat in hells chance of signing him as much as we would love him here.

Watching him currently playing v Roma.

Utterly frustrated, as not getting the service from his team-mates. Hit the post earlier with some real nice play.

Can deffo do much better than middling with Torino in Serie A.

Being as we are playing fantasy football what is our estimate? I'll start with the transfermarkt.co.uk value of 36m. On the low side?

I'm pretty sure Udinese have a striker called Kevin Lasagna. Perhaps we could replace the one that loves the pizza and pasta but not a Wolverhampton based substitute bench with him.

They turned down a £60M bid for him last season.

I read a few weeks ago that he has a £100 million buyout clause, but wether or not thats to put clubs off Iv no idea, certainly he would be just what we need.. but at £100 million i doubt there would be any takers, certainly not Wolves..
