    Club philosophy revealed

There's now a useful link on the official site where the club explains its footballing philosophy, possibly as first step in a new openness policy: http://www.wolves.co.uk/page/ClubFootballPhilosophy/0,,10307,00.html

What is that Morgan wants from this club?

We are all discussing about who the new manager should be, whether Moxey should go and what players should come and go. Even new coaches and a DOF. But this all means nothing unless Steve Morgan wants it. I dont think any of us know what Morgan wants from this club and why he even came here...

I don't care about it all - it's my club.

I'm fed up with this season. I'm fed up with all the Moxey, Morgan hate. I'm fed up with all the protesting supporters who don't realise how good the last 5 years have been. They'll all $$$$ off when we are relegated and hopefully the true fans will be left supporting our team. I love my club...

Geeky comparative look at local club crowds since 1975

Fuelled by our much maligned crowds in the 1980's, I thought i would take a look at crowd consistencies of the 5 local clubs (I have included Stoke as they seem to hate us). I have looked at crowds "since" 1975 - so that is 37 seasons of crowds, not including this seasons. Before looking at...

Club record for successive home league defeats

Sorry it's another negative thread, but have not seen this mentioned yet. Our defeat today has equalled our club record for successive home league defeats. (6) The last time we had a run as bad was 61 years ago! :( http://www.statto.com/football/teams/wolverhampton-wanderers/records

Not my words, but the best summary of my views on the club..

These are not my words, they come from a post on Skyscaper City, but for me they are the single best description of how I feel about the club right now. So if you are LasVagaswolves on skyscraper city I salute you sir and humbly suggest your words deserve a wider platform...

The myth of the "well-run" club

One law of business is that unresolved problems accumulate and lead to more serious problems at a later date. It seems to me that a lot of Wolves' current difficulties stem precisely from unresolved earlier problems that are now surfacing in a far more serious fashion. If one applies this...

Didn't realise we had changed our club name to...

... Struggling Wolves. Every time we are mentioned on TV, radio or in the papers we are now referred to as this. There's me thinking we were Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Change in club culture necessary post-Mccarthy

There has been a stream of leaks occurring on various places on the net over the past week or so, all pointing to the negative side of the club's internal footballing culture under McCarthy. Some have even claimed that certain players would not join the club, because of McCarthy's approach to...

Have Wolves always been a poor/poorly run club?

Again looking at the Cullis era thread, it seems that there's always been some kind of money related theme holding us back from really becoming a MASSIVE club akin to Man Yoo, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal etc. The Stan Cullis years being a prime example - storming the league throughout the...

    Different visions for the club?

What do we think these are? Has Curbs said we'll only ever be a struggling lower prem side at best? or has Morgan said it can be done on a shoe string and will be and Curbs said "You're $$$$ing mad man!" Visions for our club in our position can't differ that wildly surely?

    Club Investment.

There seems to be a lot of angst aimed towards Steve Morgan at the moment, so what do you prefer? Self sufficiency, prudence - steady as she goes (Morgan) or massive cash injection for players (Sheikh/Oligarch).

Oh dear, new manager must fit the club DNA!

Very worrying comments from Moxey for me, when describing the new manager required. “It’s got to be someone who fits with this football club. That is the pre-requisite of the job. “I know it’s obvious but we are what we are and Wolves needs someone to immerse themselves in the DNA...
