In a way I’m quite proud that our club has tried to compete with the rules fairly. I do get the argument, if it was me I’d be taking a lot more points off teams who have cheated.

This is what angers me. Effectively, Everton and Forest have blatantly cheated. Yet the pathetic points deduction look like it wont get either of them relegated. So by cheating, they have actually prospered and ‘got away with it’.
Except we wouldn't have a points deduction this season for breaking the limits this season. We probably wouldn't have got one this season as even by the clubs dubious leaks we'll be £15-£20m clear, which would have paid the wages and amortisation on a couple of squad players to spread the load on the attackers. Much as people like me owe O'Neil an apology for massively underestimating him, what Lopetegui said about the squad has also proved correct, it isn't really bad luck, it's the inevitable consequence of overloading the players.

Actually might be good if they took it further and the rest of us can see what happens and then we and others could wade in with our justifiable complaints - maybe then there will be some review of sorts to VAR
