If all three transfers went through I suspect it would suit all parties to inflate the three fees for FFP reasons. Can't see it myself, though.
Hate if he went arsenal any other club than slime ball arteta

Thankfully city and chelsea will blow them out the water with money

Chelsea are going to be in enough FFP trouble as it is, and if they are going to splurge money will surely have to prioritise a centre-forward.

I can't see Neto working in Man City's team as he is, but Guardiola does like remoulding players accustomed to playing on the break, and I guess Doku's a little closer to Neto than your typical Pep player.

Arsenal, on the other hand, require pacey widemen and desperately need players to rotate with Saka and Martinelli. However, they rely on those wide men to score as much as they create, and that's not Neto's forte.

And how does that help? How do you monetise it? Are we seeing planes full of Chinese fans turning up at the mol looking for tickets to a stadium that is already sold out? Are they buying merchandise from our stores? No.
Do we know how much revenue the store in Shanghai makes as we aren't really told anything about that from what I've seen.

Until we see a significant growth in commercial revenue for the football club then I believe this brand investment is either putting money in other Fosun businesses, or a non-existent smokescreen.

With Savinho going to City the market for Neto looks borderline nonexistent so it doesn't look unfeasible for Neto to be rocking up at Compton in 6 months' time.
There's also the European market. I'm sure the likes of Barcelona, PSG etc etc will be aware of Neto's form.

We also signed Jason Roberts from Nuneaton for £100k but don’t think he played that often / at all under McGoo?

So we are as guilty of letting top talent through our grasp as much as other teams
I thought we got Roberts from some London non-League outfit ?

Arsenal would sooner dump all those funds into a move for Toney imo.

I'm just not sure that Neto is the sort of player that would thrive at City as much as he is thriving here. I think he'd do well, but I don't think he would have as big an impact in teams where their opponents sit in and leave little space in behind.

He's actually perfect for us, running into space in a more counter-attacking setup.

He can beat a man from a standing start, of course he can, but he's better running into space.

Look at how many times City's wingers get the ball out wide and have to operate in very little space.

On that basis, he should stay here forever!

Barca are broke plus a lot of European markets have lost a lot of the spending power they used to have and PSG haven't been credited with an active interest in Neto.
Hard to see him moving outside the PL unless Mendes and Campos have been quietly cooking up a deal behind the scenes.

Are they still trying to get money from esports? Jesus.

Specialist and focused e-sports orgs went bust or pulled out.

Hasn’t been much money on the scene in terms of profit for years outside of League of legends and like 1/2 others.

The EAFC pro-scene’s prize money is atrocious! The players make more money streaming and YouTube than they do in prize money.

If Joe Hodge who scored on his Debut for QPR, becomes instrumental in their promotion push he could push on toward Gibbs White's transfer fee.
He's a long way off that: Gibbs-White had won the World Cup with England U17s, played nearly 68 games for us (many in Europe and the Prem), had shown that he had the talent to make a mark on Premier League games against top class opposition (albeit inconsistently), and had been a key player in a Championship promotion push. When we sold him we were making noises about how integral he was going to be to our season. No matter how good he is for QPR, Hodge would only be able to tick one of those boxes, and even if he outperforms all expectations his value's not going to go anywhere beyond £10m by the summer.

I just think we lack pace there.

Disagree about Toti though who is vital in this system, doubted him initially but he's so confident now.
Agreed on Toti. Reckon he is gonna really kick on next season

I hope he proves his doubters wrong and smashes it.
Surely his doubters being GON and his coaches .

5th choice. I think every manager has rated Hodge, just not high enough. Davis and Loppy liked him. Gaz has said good things. Also Hodge has had injuries. Doesn’t help that he suits a slow tempo.

We have Lemina, Gomes, Doyle, Traore ahead of him. Of course he is never going to start

He's not going to Man City, they're signing Savio in the summer, another left footed winger who's been thriving in La Liga.

We have mosquera to come in to replace either TOTI or the ageing dawson

But dawson has been our best defender (CB)

Bueno for Dawson who I think has been steady in his limited game time.

Mosquera as backup I agree. Kilman could play the Toti role or Mosquera play it on the right.

Definitely got options there even when Dawson inevitably declines, he keeps himself very fit though so could go on years yet.

Far from our weakest position which I think is winger.
