I think Renato Sanches tried to wear 85 for Swansea a few years back and the PL stopped him from doing it. He ended up with 35 instead.

They came out with a statement about some rule where squad numbers have to be consecutive and as close to the highest number already registered as possible.

But just checked, our highest squad number is 92 - Kam Kandola. Tyler Roberts is 87 and 88 is free!!

So can't see why it would be a problem.

Practically every match day thread claims that the presence of (insert current scapegoat) equates to playing with 10 men. Wouldn't the signing of someone who is only fit enough to play 10 minutes per game & will probably be sent off after 5 of those due to the dark arts seemingly beloved by many (but not referees or VAR) actually guarantee that this is regularly the case?
