I think we need a bit of a clear out this summer. These kind of things always happen if you let a squad go stale and don't keep refreshing. A lot of these players have had it too cosy for too long and much like with the bomb squad, when that happens you start to see resilience against new ideas and points of authority.

Our lack of investment in the first team is starting to bite us now.

He may be a usually reliable source, but I’m always suspicious when this kind of thing comes out immediately after, not before, a poor performance. The poor performance makes it easier to believe, and selecting players for the bust up after knowing the team selection allows the journalist / poster to pick the players for the bust up (eg those not starting, or those who play particularly poorly). He may be on the level, but it would have been more credible if posted ahead of the game.

A bit like buying a new car and wondering why it's knackered after 5/6 years and will cost a fortune to replace.

How long before a good old-fashioned mutiny? TC as caretaker? Bully? Claire, from the ticketing team?

Is he reliable?

Is Twitter ever reliable? Might be something in it, though doubt we'd find out the full story. The big surprise is Jonny being mentioned as he's always seemed the ultimate professional, and well grounded. The type who would sort problems out sensibly rather than have a "bust up".

Nothing like a match against one of the Sky 6 to motivate this squad to get working, though.

Someone tweeted in response to Ryan Lester rumours that Paolo Fonseca was shown around Compton this week.

Had forgotten about him. I think he was under consideration at Villa at one stage, wasnt he?

Are we all forgetting there were bust up with Nuno and the players....Ryan Bennett anyone....and I nw for a fact neves would have walked last summer, if Nuno would of stayed....

Is that true? I hate to admit that I like to hear gossip  Well, something didn't look right last season. And after looking good and together for most of this, the last month hasn't looked "right" either. Trying to equate it with my (very different) profession. But when you don't want to be there, try as hard as you like to maintain that professional demenour, it's never the same. You make mistakes and start to drift down to less than your maximum potential. Just human nature. I guess this is what good managers are appointed to deal with, though.

Would explain why those 2 utter clowns started up front.
Hwang was awful, silva was just... Well... Silva, some lovely work on the ball on deep positions but when near the box he's a ****e, proper ****e, the effort not long before half time he just looked a Sunday league striker!

No chance that would have happened...

The other way around. Hwang was one of our best outfield players today. Fabio did nothing but lose the ball and run around a bit.
I can confirm it's all true an ex player has just texted me the dressing room is lost most of the first team have lost belief in.bruno and his team selection and tactics change of management on.the cards .

I know you’ve been proven ITK a couple of times so starting to believe there is something in this.

Doesn’t necessarily sit right with me though. Players need to look at their own performances and work-rate today.

It's sad, I never want a manager to go (well OK Saunders and Hoddle were exceptions) but not anyone who gave us some good moments. It's hard to think they want to play for Bruno after today though, loads of jogging aimlessly around.

Whatever the situation in the dressing room or on the training ground, there is never any excuse for professional footballers not to give 100% every time they go out on the pitch.

He’s on his way out if this is true. I can believe it because some of his team selections have been odd. It actually stemmed from when he had a full squad for the first time in February. He’s chopped and changed, made odd decisions and generally seemed confused. He was better when he had little choice and was keeping the same team. A bit like Nuno when he started to change things, he just confused himself.

His problem is that he overthinks things - Clough and Shankly both said that football is a simple game, Bruno seems to have decided that he needs to add complexity.

It’ll be interesting whether we’ll wait until the end of the season or get rid now. To my mind he’s a dead man walking. He’s done better than I thought he would but the honeymoon is over and we’re now talking to divorce lawyers.

You were the guy that was first to tell us nuno was going. I (and many others) didn’t want to believe you as I loved nuno, but unfortunately you were right. So I fully believe your information on Bruno is correct.

They downed tools under Nuno, if they've done it again the entire group needs splitting up and moving on.

There's no excuse for treating the fans with such contempt.

Are they that fragile that they have to let down 30k+ people who paid good money to watch that ****?
There is no way that attendance today was 31K. There were 4 empty seats behind me in the SB Upper.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t they always count ST holders in the attendance even if they don’t attend.

Completely and 100% agree.

One of my favourite sayings is how if you have a problem with everyone in life.....there's one common demoninator - you!

Seems that the same logic needs to be applied to our players if so.

They're human beings though so there's 100% and there's 100% when unmotivated or frustrated. Dave edwards podcast is very revealing and well worth a listen.

If it is true, I'm always skeptical on things on twitter ( as I said previously on this post) there is a number of people saying similar now though.

Then I completely agree and if they are downing tools again like they did with Nuno then the squad needs a complete overhaul no sentiment get a new core group, the ones that buy into it keep any which have doubts need to go.

we have all had to work with people we wouldn't choose to socialise or particularly like with but we get on with our jobs.
