I have real concerns about Jeff Shi.
I am assuming he lead the following decisions ( and not Fosun) :-
£35 million on Silva.
Not addressing major weaknesses. Goal scorers , the weak midfield options , the defence.
The way Nuno was dealt with that lead to Nuno's poor attitude.
The stripping bare of backroom staff and structure. Leaving guys who have failed to recruit the necessary players in charge.
Taking risks with Jimenez for two years.
These appear to be his decisions and they seem to correlate with Mendes stepping back.
I can accept that investment is being curtailed but not poor decision making.
If you take control by dismissing staff you take responsibility , our current structure is definitely Championship standard.
For the first two years he didnt put a foot wrong IMO , for the last two he hasn't made a really good decision IMO
I really believe Hwang will save him or fell him.
I think some of you guys are still hurting over Nuno.

If Fosun knew anything about football the bizarre signing of Silva alone would have cost Shi his job. As they clearly dont who would they speak to for a second opinion? Oh, hang on...... Mendes. Shi's job is safe......

Apart from Newcastle is there a worse run club in the PL than Wolves? Shoe string set up on an off the pitch.

Does anyone think fabio will come good? Bruno doesn't seem to rate him.
Dont blame Fabio at all but even if we had spent £10M on him I would have felt we had been cheated. No obvious ability that I can see (other than the basic ability that you would expect from anyone playing in the PL). Little boy lost it seems.

The Semedo deal was us helping Barcelona out apparently.... Who needed the money!! They did us a huge favour giving us Trincao on loan though. The Mendes days are over. The squad is stale we’re going backwards at a serious rate of knots

Not on the evidence of last Saturday....... In reality Trincao clearly has loads of skill which might be wasted unless we can find someone to hit a cow's **** with a banjo...

He's an administrator who has never played the game in his life and should get football men (or women) who have a good knowledge of what they are supposed to do within a football environment. He comes across to me as a glory hunter who simply isn't good enough for the position he is in at a PL football club.
How many football chairman are ex players?

Another complaint - getting a drink at half time in the south bank was a joke. I waited for 15 mins until I go to the front and was served, only 2 members of staff behind the bar - absolute disgrace. The drinks then weren't chilled the beer was just out the plastic packaging on the topic of the counters. Compare that to Leicester where they have dozens of cold pints waiting to be handed out as soon as you've placed the order.

What the hell are Wolves doing so bad off the pitch that you get that level of service in the prem. At least they haven't raised the price of the tickets whilst drastically lowering the quality of service.....

Evergrande has the equivalent of 300 BILLION DOLLARS is liabilities. If they default there are going to be some banks that have serious capital issues. The central bank can flood them with liquidity to prop them up but what about retail investors who bought unfinished off plan apartments etc? The Chinese consumer is very levered and in a similar place to where the west was in 2007/2008. We know what happens next. China could well be about to find out.
If the Chinese government wants to bail out Evergrande, they have more than enough resources to do so. They won’t rush to do so as they want some pain inflicted on the sector, but they will stop it spreading to a general slump.

Not me mate I was bored rigid with Nuno .
My concern is a lack of physicality and goal scoring ability . I think Nuno felt this . Silva encapsulates it all - and at £35 million !
I start with what I see on the pitch and work from there.

Thing is who do you believe? Bruno stated he wanted 3-4 quality additions not just "squad fillers". Shi reportedly said Bruno was offered "30 players the majority of which he turned down"

Just my opinion but I don't think Bruno is going to rock the boat. This is a manager who had not worked for 18 months and is pretty much given a Premier job ahead of other top candidates (who were allegedly interviewed). I think he is just very grateful that he has been given this opportunity. Will he walk away? In my opinion I think that is unlikely. Is he an easy scapegoat? - of course he is.

I think agree. Lehman collapse was a policy mistake. And Xi won’t do that. However, there are two aspects to a bail out of evergrande. 1. Bailing out banks and bond holders that have lent it money and 2. Bailing out all the moms and pops that borrowed money to buy not just evergrande property which is unfinished, but also Chinese stocks. The Chinese stock and bond market is being hosed as people are getting margin calls and running for the doors. I dont care how deep Xi pockets are, he wants to get on top of that and quick as if it starts to run it’s gonna hurt and people will question his regime/dictatorship.

...and why wouldn’t you, with absolutely no evidence to back up your addition to the hysteria.
Honestly, coming on here is like reading the diaries of a bunch of cry-babies.
Waaaa, waaaa, waaaaaaa!
Oh! Sorry officer, I have no evidence. If you don't like it find somewhere else to vent. If I see comments I don't agree with I mostly just turn the page, as opposed to analysing everything you don't like the look of. E&S is good for that. It's called having a life.

Me, vent? You’re the one that’s making **** up. If you think your imaginings are ‘having a life’, I’d hate to think what sort of institution you’re living in.

Moyes is getting it right. The porn kings haven’t got a scooby.

They've clearly got it right with the recruitment team they have appointed at the club. Outstanding transfer business by them for the last 2 years after previous terrible business.

Try the Steve Bull. Was a mission in futility against United.

The friendly against Celta Vigo was worse, one person per bar and the one bird was that stressed she closed it down.

Cost cutting and penny pinching, hopefully they find a buyer soon.

Like or loathe them, they backed Moyes where asked, look at the quality they've bought in, madness.
They treated him like crap first time around. I'm damned sure that he wanted guarantees before he went back there.

Assuming you went to ground floor.

Go to first level bars. Much quicker in my experience.

Although you have to travel through the smog to get there. They should be handing out oxygen masks.

Whatever we think of West Ham's owners they appear to be getting it right now.

If you look at the last 12 months - if you look at the previous 10 years, they've got many, many things wrong, both on and off the pitch. So personally, I'd take a slightly more intelligent look than just glancing at the league table, and stick with Fosun.

They wouldn't still be expanding behind the scenes if they were looking to sell.

Been thinking Fosun are looking to sell for a while, especially after those Leonid Fedun rumours surfaced a few months ago.
Yes I agree . I still don't see or understand what Fosun actually want with us though if I am honest . If you want to better a team and progress year on year then you pay the extra £5million for Botman as he is clearly a huge upgrade on Coady, Saiss, Killman , Boly etc .

Also you upgrade the stadium . Are we staying at Molineux . Yes well fill the Graham Hughes corner in properly . It is not in use now so build . We could have done this in the last two years but Jeff and Vinny were playing twister probably.

I used to work with a couple of people who were members of the initial Fans Parliament and I used to hear first hand about the subject matter raised and they both said that it was punchy and there were often quick results .
Moxey then intervened and insisted on hearing the questions first and would determine when the minutes were released, often days afterwards.
They were interesting at first but then it seemed they became mired in what seemed like personal crusades that might have been relevant to the person/s concerned but never seemed to go anywhere before re-appearing again at the next meeting .
The FP had some successes but it became club led and controlled before it ended.Good communication is vital and whilst nobody expects inside information to be divulged we all know there is a lot the fans aren’t happy about or where the club lets itself down somewhat .
I don’t know what the answers are but it seems there is too much of’Here this is what we are doing like it or lump it ‘.
I am sure if results were better we would care less about ticket prices ,quality of merchandising,is the beer cold etc but obviously fans will always moan but we hardly ever seem to hear/read positive stuff emanating from the club about its core business namely the first team .

Not being critical in any way but I am genuinely interested in why we should stick with Fosun (personally I can see no reason for any optimism in the future but not sure I am thinking straight on this).

A previous poster made what I think is a sound point in that the possibility of the Big Six breaking away in the future (and clearly we would not be one of them) might have made Fosun re-assess what the future prospects are for significant growth.

Trouble is when results aren’t going our way people start over reaching for reasons and there ends up a lot of conjecture without anyone knowing the truth. People will say Jones is a downgrade on Dalrymple (yet those i know in and around the club said he was an utter clown) and sellars isn’t Thelwell who again had more than his fair share of distractors.

Football is fairly simple to follow now in that if you don’t invest it’s incredibly difficult to move forward. The spending table over a 5 year period pretty much marries up with the sporting table, we aren’t at the big boys table and will never be without investment. That doesn’t fall on anyone but our owners

Jeff has been a football chairman for 5 years + now
The idea we replace him with Bully, "cuz heez a futballer innit" is mad
It baffles my brains, I can’t think of a chairman who is an ex player. There’s a whole sporting team behind him but people don’t want to recognise that as it doesn’t fit their rhetoric.

The same fans that knock Sellars don’t know what he does, or what Thelwell did and “we need a proper director of football” when in reality it’s the most fluid job in football because what the director of football does at a club alters from club to club, it’s not a defined position at all
