When was the last time we scored 7 goals in a game? Can't remember it ever happening in my time and I've been a supporter for decades! I know somebody on here will know.
I was there for this one. Can't think of one since. When was the last time we scored 7 goals in a game? Can't remember it ever happening in my time and I've been a supporter for decades! I know somebody on here will know.
Sheffield Utd have scored 7. Just taken them 13 matches to do it.I wonder when a top level team conceded and scored 7 goals in the same season ?
6-2 v Newcastle a couple of years before the rebuild but there havnt been many.Don't know about 7, but was there for the 6-1 v Bristol City. Which was also the Wolfie v 3 Little Pigs fight day. We also had a 6-4 v Rotherham. Though sadly no mascot fights that day. Off top of my head, they are the only 6 goal scores I can remember since the Hayward stadium rebuild era.
Just said that to my friendMakes the four goal defeat by Liverpool recently almost seem like a victory!
I seem to recall being in the South Bank with my old man for that one.I remember us putting 6 past Shrewsbury in the league cup.
And plenty of 6’s in late 1980s (Preston springs to mind)
But that 7 against Chelsea is only one I can remember. I was in the Waterloo Road enclosure with my Dad.
Was at the Chelsea match. It was Willie Carr's debut we were 3-1 up at half time and from memory all the goals in the second half were crackers.
They were consecutive games, early October 1976.We scored 6 against Hereford and conceded 6 against Southampton in 1976 which I think were consecutive games .
I remember it well...6-2 v Newcastle a couple of years before the rebuild but there havnt been many.
Quite a few 6s in Bully’s early years.
I can remember it almost happening at Wolves. In 58-59 we lost 2-6 at Chelsea and beat Portsmouth 7-0.I wonder when a top level team conceded and scored 7 goals in the same season ?
Seen to recall us putting six past Huddersfield but could be wrong.I can remember it almost happening at Wolves. In 58-59 we lost 2-6 at Chelsea and beat Portsmouth 7-0.
I have seen quite a few 7's, a couple of 8's and one 9, but I am 72 years old!
7-0 v Portsmouth in 58-9, 7-2 v Burnley in 62-3, 7-0 v Albion in 62-3, 7-1 v Chelsea in 74-5, 7-1 v Cardiff in 66-7
8-1 v Man City in 62-3, 8-2 v Portsmouth in 65-6
9-0 v Fulham in 59-60
I'm here! See posts above!Where's BSK when you need him? I'll bet he was there?!
I knew you'd have witnessed some big games and scores and most amazingly for me, who can't remember what happened yesterday, you can vividly remember the games!I'm here! See posts above!
I've got a great memory for anything Wolves-related!I knew you'd have witnessed some big games and scores and most amazingly for me, who can't remember what happened yesterday, you can vividly remember the games!
The weird thing about that game is that I remember Newcastle looking really good and looking like scoring everytime they attacked! Micky Quinn leading the line. I think Keegan had only just taken over. I missed the first two goals as i got to the ground 10 minutes late after leaving work late. Also an Andy Mutch hat trick. Not sure if he ever scored another one for Wolves?6-2 v Newcastle a couple of years before the rebuild but there havnt been many.

Saw the Pompey 7-0 gameI can remember it almost happening at Wolves. In 58-59 we lost 2-6 at Chelsea and beat Portsmouth 7-0.

Watched Wolves since 1972 - I didnt go the 7-1 Chelsea game, but since then I remember the following 3 times we scored 6: -
Hereford 1 Wolves 6 1976-77 (this was either the week before or after we lost 2-6 at home to Southampton).
Wolves 6 Preston 0 1988 - Bully got 4 I think (then he got another 4 when we beat Port vale 5-1 midweek in the Sherpa Van)
Wolves 6 Gillingham 1 same era
Did we beat Bristol City away 6-1 (or was it 5-1?).
Probably a few more 6's but it always bugged me that I had never seen us score 7 or more.
Yes Keegan not long taken over. It was Mutchy only hat trick. If we did I ca remember it I'm afraid, think all competitions are included.I think we scored 6 against Shrewsbury at home in one of the cups... 6-2 I think. Or are we only talking league?
6-1 at Molineux, Bully smashed the keeper for one of the goals.I think we scored 6 against Shrewsbury at home in one of the cups... 6-2 I think. Or are we only talking league?
Remember it well, had my mate Alex down from Newcastle and upgraded my South Bank season ticket for 2 seats in the upper bully by the NB construction site, don't think Alex has ever contacted me since ;-(6-2 v Newcastle a couple of years before the rebuild but there havnt been many.
Quite a few 6s in Bully’s early years.
The choke seasonBiggest win I can remember in my time is 6-0, I think v Gillingham. Would have been early 2000’s
