I don’t think terrible. I’d say played out of position.

The comment about us having the fourth lowest wage bill isn’t due to us paying our players peanuts, it’s because we don’t have players. This unfortunately leads to formations like this when players get injured. Excellent effort just by semedo and Sarabia.

Quite happy with the flow of the game so far (completely dull), get to half time, get Cunha on and we might start creating a few decent chances...

I agree. The lack of presence up front is a real achilles heel.

But compared to the previous two matches, there appears to have been a little more zip in our play thus far. Doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll offer a threat as you say, however it has to improve our chances somewhat.

I agree, we are looking more progressive and forward with the ball.

but the difference today, is that the opposition are letting us have more time on the ball, sitting much deeper which allows us to look more progressive as we have more time and space for players to move into and receive the pass than the last few games where teams pressed us early and with more intensity.
