GON's hands are tied - about as good as he can put out. Chiwome and Fraser don't look ready to start and we might get a bit exposed playing both RAN and H Bueno on the left, although obviously Doc isn't ideal either. Fingers crossed we get to 60+ mins level and bring on Cunha in the hope he works some magic...

Hopefully luck is on our side today and we can pick up some lovely points.

Would be happy to see Cunha get a decent run out and win us the game.

That isn’t what your post said.

You said there is no pace in that line up…….

There is some pace in it.

I also would say Lemina isnt slow either
Fair enough - I should have said my concern is a lack of pace in attack.
For me RAN is more effective manipulating the ball rather than relying on pure pace.

The pessimistic Wolf inside feels like a heavy defeat incoming. I sincerely hope I’m wrong.

I wonder if GON is trying to make a point?

To be fair, I have said multiple times I could see doc being a useful player in a pinch at striker.

He has good movement in the box and can finish.

I am surprised it has taken this long for that to happen to be honest…….

I guess it will be Sarabia in the central attacking role, with RAN and Doc either side of him.

Just a little over reaction.

To be fair , he's not wrong......A club that has been in the prem as long as us should have players to come in when needed ....They may not be up to the quality of the 1st choice in their position , but be able to at least compete not just to fill a shirt. Even GON said that there probably isn't another club in the whole 92 in our position where a few injuries or suspensions (always likely to happen especiially at the business end) and we're down to throwing untried youngsters in and expecting them to compete in the premiere league .....Madness that so many experienced (and expensive) players that we could do with are out on loan ........

Started with Sarabia in the centre with Doyle and RAN either side apparently

Other than the odious Jacqui Oatley commentating it's been a decent start

I have to say, first 8 minutes have been very good. Lack of presence up front as we know will be the killer. But we’ve played very well so far!

But West Ham like to sit deep and let teams come at them and break on the counter.

We need to start creating chances, as West Ham will be feeling very comfortable about how the game has gone so far.

Absolutely, but we are moving the ball quickly, there appear to be forward options, and at the moment our first thought with every ball isn’t backwards.

West Ham will always be a danger on the counter!

Sarabia dove in the perfect spot for him to hit a FK, I like it.

Very true, it we haven’t threatened the keeper.

Possession is lovely, but there needs to be some result of it.

That is why they won’t be too worried, as even if we move forward, we don’t have a guy who can make the run/difference for that incisive pass to actually do them harm.

I agree. The lack of presence up front is a real achilles heel.

But compared to the previous two matches, there appears to have been a little more zip in our play thus far. Doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll offer a threat as you say, however it has to improve our chances somewhat.
