I was one of the ones wanting him gone. This was prior to Lopetegui turning his form around. Then GON's football has added more goals to his game.

Yep, it was actually a pretty horrific shot that looked be be dragging wide of the near post if it wasn't deflected which would have seemed almost impossible from the position he was in.

Credit where it is due he certainly isn't afraid to pull the trigger in the box.

He's about to disallow every goal we have scored this season.

Sorry but any team whose fans sing "He's one of our own, Stuart Atwell" (up there with DLS singing that about Jimmy pervert Saville in my view) absolutely deserve to go down and rot in the EFL.

Better than midweek and could have scored at least one more (Hwang), but still not particularly impressive. Goal was deflected and a pretty soft effort from their backline.

Luton are clearly Championship quality. They leave a lot of space in midfield and in front of their box to attack and are quite flimsy in the tackle. Morris has bullied Kilman though (is there a single forward he can dominate?) so they still have ways to score and Barkley was allowed to get off a dangerous shot from the edge of the box that might have given the game a totally different complexion.

It will be very interesting to see if we can break the hoodoo of playing coma football after leading at the break. GON and Derry need to deliver a motivating, upbeat team talk now, one that gets the players fired up to attack the rest of this game and not set them up to just drift through it.

I have to say that the 5 minutes after we scored weren't too encouraging, as we seemed overly content to play walking football - RAN especially too intent on slowing it down and doing his trick on the ball than running into the space and putting Luton under pressure.
