Given us and Torino are cumulatively 9-nil up on aggregate, I think we can safely start planning for Turin on 22 August.

Just booked my flights from Heathrow. With Lufthansa via Frankfurt outbound and Munich on the way back. Relatively swift connections. Annoying that the flights doubled in price since this time yesterday! £292 in the end. My timings were dictated by the need to be back in work on Friday morning. Considered flying to/from Milan but transport between Turin and Milan doesn't seem to quite be running in time to make the first flights out each morning.

Any idea how advisable it is to wear club colours as a visiting English fan in Italy?

I'm going!

I certainly won't be wearing colours though, those Italian fans can be nuts

I’m going we’re hiring a car from Milan to Turin and back as the flight home is at 6:55 Friday morning and can’t get a train.

The positive of this is we will sleep in the car for a few hours somewhere on the way back to Milan so won’t need a hotel

Not sure about colours were not gonna exactly pass for being Italian anyway

It's a 3 hr drive for me from Montreux, Switzerland. Hotel in Turin is booked for the Thursday night already...

But as I have ZERO loyalty points living abroad, now I just need a really nice Wolves fan to get me a ticket for the game...

Have 1080 points, hopeful I can go with a ticket...

Haven’t booked flights yet though.

Will worry about lack of holiday later.

What is the likely away allocation? Is there a minimum per stadium size or anything like that in Uefa Comps?

I believe it's a minimum of 5% of capacity, but they can offer us more if they don't expect to sell out I guess

I would have gone if not allready commited financially to Tokyo olympics 2020,which is very expensive BTW.
The Torino tie for me is almost up there with our semi last season.

Would you object to sitting with the home fans? They won't sell out

I’ve booked flights from Manchester to Turin via Frankfurt with Lufthansa. Going Wednesday to Friday. Booked the AC hotel Torino which is 2 miles from ground. Definitely won’t wear any colours when walking back after game.

I'm certainly tempted to book my flight to Milan even though I'm not sure I'll be able to get a ticket with 1160 points.

Yeah, I'm not sure sitting in the home end is advisable.... Plus, cannot beat sitting with the lads (and lasses)

Do people think we'll sell out? I don't even know how many tickets we'll get - I'm sure local police will have a say in how many they will be able to give us...

Flights booked from Gatwick to Milan, Wednesday to Friday.

Expecting an allocation of at least 1500 meaning all ASTHs should be fine, and probably those with high points. Could be up to 2500 tickets though, which may open it up to a lot more fans.

Surely the cost and effort involved in getting to this will preclude a lot of fans.

Youre talking 2 days off and £400 just to make this one at relatively short notice.

I know everyone is desperate to go but that in itself would rule this out for a lot of people.

I can see this one going all the way down to STHs and possibly not selling out? Obviously depends on allocation but I dont think we'll shift more than 2,000??

Thoughts?

Would be interesting to do a poll of why fans can’t/ won’t attend these matches. Cost, annual leave etc. See which is the biggest factor

I'm torn. Found flights out to Milan from Standsted then train to Turin, cheap hostel and back on the Friday. All in around £250 but not sure I'd get a ticket (on 1080) and the Thursday is my ads GCSE results day.

2000 is a lot! If we take that many a) I'd be surprised, and b) that would be incredible - for any club to do that...

More the other way round. Would they object to us sitting with them?

I went to Roma V Chelsea a couple of years ago at the Stadio Olimpico - was supporting Roma though. Sat in the Roma end and had nor hassle whatsoever, and actually had a few more english (non chelsea fans) around us. The Chelsea fans who were escorted to and from the game had a bit of hassle though.

Wear metal pants as a precaution, Italian Ultras are very keen on stabbing in the buttocks.

What would be HUGELY helpful from the club is if they could put out a statement along the lines of:

“In the event of Wolves progressing to the playoff round the anticipated away allocation at Torino is “X”, the anticipated away allocation at Shakhtyor is “Y”. We strongly advise fans not to book travel arrangements as both allocation and kickoff dates are subject to change”

That way fans have a chance of anticipating the odds of a ticket. I think there’s a lot of us in a similar boat, 1,000 tickets and those of us between 1000-1200 points probably won’t mske the cut for a ticket, if it’s closer to 2,500 tickets we’ve got a decent shot.

Please Wolves Comms Team if you’re listening, help us out!

X and Y in the above example is representative of hundreds/ thousands seats to and smart Alec’s out there ;)

Only 500 away season ticket holders went to Northern Ireland with it going to high points , I’m very hopeful anyone with over 1100 will get one

I think it's the flights that people need to be concerned about. If we get 2000 tickets that's about an additional seven planes.

Do you think there’s a glamour tie to factor in here though?
Put it this way I booked flights this morning for £201 the same flights now are £283 , everything is going up very quickly , a lot of people have used holidays up , a lot of people can justify an away day but not £4-500 quid and a few days off work !! Generally people who take kids normally won’t be going and I think the demographic of fan on these trips are generally different and the trips are all based around being in some square somewhere with lots of bars etc , it changes things a lot in my view as to who will go , it will be mainly lads on tour , I’d hazard a guess a lot of people with away season tickets are people who travel on the jelly tots week in week out

I think whoever wants to go will get a ticket tbh. It's a Thursday night and it ain't cheap.

If anyone manages to make every game this season then not only are they dedicated superfans but they are also loaded.

Wouldn't be advisable to most fans

I just thought manc_wolf, living so close might be able to get away with it
I’ve been to their stadium to watch them play Milan a few years ago. I had to get a ticket through a season ticket holder who was a friend of my sister who lived in Turin at the time. They were very strict about it...needed passport etc.
