Just seen that Wolves Help have put on Twitter that you need to show your passport at the stadium.

Is this new info or has this previously been communicated? I don't really want to be carrying my passport round all day.
Loads of people replying with no response
Which for a twitter account called Wolves Help..isn't actually that helpful

You get this a lot in Europe. I always take a photocopy of my passport when they ask - saves any risk of losing it while you're ****ed. They've never once asked to see it at the stadium though!

What is everyone's latest estimation of travelling Wolves (ticket and non-ticket)*?

Surely the fact that you can only collect your ticket with photo ID negates the need for further ID checks and the associated inconvenience and delays at the stadium.

Can already see how this is going to play out unfortunately......

I reckon 4,000-5,000 overall

We took about 5000 to Braga, knew about 7 that went. Know about 15 going to Barcelona so maybe more??
Gothic quarter takeover whatever it is.

Standard for every away game we've had in Europe.

Don;t know whether this has been posted..... tickets are available for €50 from the Tourist Info Service in middle of Barcelona, someone on FB has just posted that he has bought 5 together. What an absolute farce of a ticketing system we have when , if true, this is all you had to do to get in the ground !

Coronavirus case confirmed in Barcelona. Apparently the woman has visited Northern Italy this week. Get ready to go through the thermal scanners folks. Check your travel insurance.

Official email states passport.

copy of your passport, which must be clear and in colour.

Mine says "You will be required to show valid PHOTO ID such as a passport or drivers licence when collecting your tickets, the ID must bear the name of the ticket owner. Tickets must be collected individually BY THE NAMED OWNER. Other ID or photocopies will not be accepted".

Doesn't mention anything about the ground on the original email. Haven't got time to meticulously print out a colour copy now and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

So those already over there now have to risk taking their passports out with them.

Think after Braga there could be trouble with the OTT police checks. Is it really necessary?

I received another email today with changes.

Dear supporter

Please see some important information below relating to our game versus RCD Espanyol on Thursday:

Important information for fans travelling to Espanyol

Wolves have received communication from RCD Espanyol with important updates to arrangements for Thursday’s Europa League fixture, which are highly important for supporters who have purchased tickets directly through Wolves for the trip. Anyone purchasing tickets independently of Wolves should follow any information or advice given by Espanyol.

The Spanish police have advised these changes for the safety of official Wolves supporters and to assist with the safe arrival at Estadi Cornellà-El Prat. On police advice all supporters with tickets for the away end are requested to meet at Plaza Espanya in good time to catch the 5pm trains to the stadium.

Please note that there will be three trains carrying up to 2,400 supporters and will be the only trains that will have a dedicated police presence for the protection of Wolves fans. All other trains will be mixed and have RCD Espanyol supporters on board.

Please contact the ticket office or visit tickets.wolves.co.uk to pre-purchase a return train ticket, which will be on sale until 5pm on Tuesday 25th February. Train tickets will also be available to purchase at the time of collecting tickets in Barcelona.

Supporters travelling by train should disembark at the FGC Cornellà Almeda station, and not the Cornellà Riera as previously advised. From here you will be escorted directly to the away section entry point where you will be required to present your match ticket and copy of your passport, which must be clear and in colour.

Turnstiles open at 5pm for the 6.55pm kick-off. Any supporters arriving after 5.30pm are not guaranteed to be in their seat for the start of the game, due to the strict entry controls in place.

On police advice we have to close the ticket collection point at 4pm to allow all supporters sufficient time to travel to the stadium. Any late arrivals will have to collect their tickets at the stadium, in a location to be confirmed.

Anyone travelling with Sport Options will also need to follow the steps above as the coaches with drop off and pick up at Plaza Espanya as there are no parking facilities at the stadium.

For further information, including ticket collection points, detailed stadium information, important contact details and travel advice, please see the attached fan guide.

Kind regards

James

Just received the same, but with some already out there and many more going out late tonight or some point tomorrow not a lot we can do but risk the original passport.

Get the train at 1700 but you need to be at the ground at 1700 and no later than 1730, bit contradictory!
