Which players get knocked off the subs bench when boubacar traore and podence return?

I assume that Lopetegui prefers these players to hodge and toti gomes.

I don't want to think what will happen when hwang and chiquinho return, but that is a long way off yet.

The subs bench against Southampton were as follows.

A difficult decision. Am not sure both Costa and Raul would make it. The midfield will be interesting as I see Moutinho more of a sub. Assuming Lemina, Neves and Nunes are our starting 3, how many of Gomes, Traore B., Moutinho and Hodge make the bench. If Bueno starts then Ran is on the bench because he can play anywhere on the left. I suppose Collins could play right back at a push so Jonny drops out. As for wide players, we could have two of Neto, Traore and Podence with the other playing alongside Sarabia and Cunha.

Think it would be Jonny (Bueno covers left-back with Collins and, at a push, Adama able to cover Semedo).

Then one of B Traore or Raul.

It's a real tough one but lemina could cover otto's position, and costa's showing against southampton may mean he is preferred to raul. So for me otto and raul drop out.

Podence adds goals and boubacar adds physicality so would like them to make it into the matchday squad.

I think if neto does well then hwang won't make the bench. Chiquinho won't feature anyway.

Also worth pointing out there’s no Toti there either. In answer to the question I would say either Costa or Raul miss out.

That’s my take too… there’s always an injury or suspension.

If we need one, it’s easy to drop Raul or Costa.
