If bids are no higher £4-5 million, we'll most likely just keep him.

He's not going to lose any substantial value in a year - a year in which he would be integral to our potential promotion. I doubt he'd be happy staying when PL clubs are waiting in the wings for him, but them's the breaks when you sign a contract.

I think he'll go (I'm relatively certain), but one imagines that the price would have to be 8/8.5 mil for that to happen.

What a $$$$ing joke. I've always despised West Ham as a club for some reason... Jarvis should only leave to a club that is settled in the EPL such as Fulham or Everton. Any other club from 10th to 20th should never be considered because any could go down, and we could easily come straight back up. And £4 million? Jog on.

Thing is Jarvis will know that over half the PL is interested in him so a derogatory bid from a newly promoted team is unlikely to make him take much notice. West Ham are just trying it on.

No I don't think an offer has been made as in the Guess & Stir Jez is said to have said so.

That quote on the Sky site is from an earlier piece by him on our stance against bids in general.
