This weekend’s fixtures (Premier League, 3pm kick off unless stated):

  • Luton v Brentford
  • Sheffield United v Burnley
  • Chelsea v Manchester City (FA Cup, 5:15pm)
  • Wolves v Arsenal (7:30pm)
  • Everton v Nottingham Forest (1:30pm)
  • Aston Villa v Bournemouth
  • Crystal Palace v West Ham
  • Coventry v Manchester United (FA Cup, 3:30pm)
  • Fulham v Liverpool

The main events of this weekend’s football are the FA Cup semi finals which take place at Wembley Stadium across Saturday and Sunday, kicking off with the defending champions Manchester City looking to back-to-back finals as they take on an in form Chelsea side.

Sunday’s final sees Coventry, the only side remaining in the competition from outside the Premier League, take on last season’s runners-up Manchester United, who look to go one better than they did last season.

Back in the Premier League seven games take place this weekend due to other teams’ participation in the FA Cup, kicking off with three matches on Saturday afternoon with all of the bottom three in action.

Luton welcome Brentford to Kenilworth Road knowing a win would take them out of the relegation zone, for 24 hours at least, while the bottom two sides Sheffield United and Burnley meet at Bramall Lane with the loser of the match effectively all but relegated.

Arsenal have the chance to go top of the Premier League on Saturday night and pile the pressure back on defending champions Manchester City with a visit to Molineux as they look to get back to winning ways against Wolves.

Sunday lunchtime sees Nottingham Forest host Everton in a massive match in the battle to avoid relegation as 16th plays 17th with both sides within two points of the drop zone.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa continue their push from a place in next season’s Champions League with a home game against Bournemouth, while West Ham travel to Crystal Palace for a London derby with the Hammers aiming for European football next season.

The final game of the weekend sees title chasing Liverpool in the capital to play Fulham, looking to pull clear of Manchester City and potentially into top spot in the table, aiming to make the most of City’s inactivity in the league this weekend.
