My 18 year old son who's a Wolves Season Ticket holder is off to Australia early in November. Given the number of games Sky are showing can anyone down under give us the channels that would show Wolves live and details of any pubs in the Sydney area where you meet up to watch or simply meet up from time to time.

Thanks.

Fox Sports, basically Sky Sports & unless there's a form of Rugby or Aussie Rules clash you can generally watch all the games in most bars as long as they are open, most main pubs have several TV's & cater for the backpacking crowds.

3 Wise Monkeys is good & Sydney Wolves get together in a place called the Pig & Whistle I think but that might not be correct. All hostels generally have Fox Sports anyway in their communal TV areas.

There's a couple of factors at play when trying to watch Championship games over here.

1. Firstly, the BeIN Sports channel mentioned above is not included in standard Foxtel (sky equivalent) sports packages, so only a select number of Pubs will even have the basic tools required to be able to watch.

Those Pubs can be found here- http://www.beinsports.com.au/our-venues/venue-finder/

2. Generally speaking, premier league games take precedence in Pubs with limited screens so it is worth phoning ahead to check the likelihood of being able to have it shown.

3. With evening games in the UK, we get them at 7am-ish here, so normal pubs (backpackers may be) won't be open for these ones. BeIN Sports offers a package where you can watch games on your desktop, mobile and tablet, so this can be used for those games.

Any other questions @WelfordWolf let me know

(As you are a relatively new, infrequent poster, I have edited this time, but for future reference please do not post links to unofficial/illegal streaming sites. Mutchy.)

I'm over here for a year (been here for 9 months now) and i have never been to a backpackers that have BEin Sports or Foxtell, you'll be lucky to find one with a decent TV and most have Wifi you have to pay for and is pretty shocking.

As mentioned above, most pubs show EPL games (The Star Casino is amazing for this) If in Sydney i find Cheers pretty good, they even let me in at 5am when they were closed and gave me a cuppa tea. I watched the Huddlesfield came at Triple Aces the other day and they put the game on the big screen for me.

I would be open to meeting wolves fans in Sydney for the upcoming games?

You will be lucky to find BEin as others have said. Premier league games are easy to find.

Setanta is now BeIn.

It's $17 per month with no contract to stream online, or $19.99 if he wants it on Foxtel with online access as well.

Melbourne, I think you can get in trouble for posting links to streaming sites so you might want to take that off your post!

I was once a member of Queensland Wolves, we used to meet at the Park Ridge Tavern just outside Brisbane. It was quite a big group and we used to have videos of the games sent out that we passed around
