Not convinced we necessarily need an early goal. For one, they have to come out looking to score and even if they do they then need another. That should give us plenty of opportunities to counter-attack, somthing we are quite good at...

I do not mind when we score as long as we get through to the next step, where you do not need to win all the matches, and therefore most of our players would be able to take part in the next round with at least 6 or 8 matches to be played home and away.

It is amazing to think that if all goes well, we will be in the group stage of a European competition for the first time ever.

Well, inasmuch as the UEFA Cup didn't have a group stage when we got to the final in 1972 that is correct..... However, the implication that we have never done anything in Europe before is wrong.....
