Joshua Zirkzee of Byern Munich scored 18 for Anderlecht last year, he's 21 and it's thought he's available for 10m.

But .. but ... it's a well known fact that no striker ever scores goals before they are 23 or 24. Probably older.

Fully expecting the Belgian league to mysteriously double in standard next season.

We are not as bad as people make out .. we need to keep players we have plus 3 signings CB .. CM .. Striker .. would also like a couple of 18 to 20 years old to develop .. maybe the Chilean lad Dario Osorio and one more
4 weeks to go and we could really do with the new blood asap. People take time to settle in and it’s all too quiet

That’s all people want . A CB, CM, CF.

Don’t see it happening tho but would love to be proved wrong

Kilman wasn't an academy product, he was 20 or 21 when he signed, so don't add him in with all the others who have come through to be first team regulars in the last 4/5 years.
Good for us so many have come through, otherwise we'd be relying on other clubs academy cast offs, for silly money and mediocrity.
Who has come through to play regularly for the first team in the last few years? Kilman is the only one who has played u23 that has become a first team regular. The others have had one or two games at most. Hardly regulars.

Imo we’re still very exposed if we have a bad run of injuries and suspensions even if we get those extra players in.

No one outside perhaps 15 squad members were trusted by Nuno, Lage seems much the same. That's why we sell our academy graduates for peanuts. Then we spend silly money on someone else's cast off and they're a nailed on starter, just to justify the money spent.

And how many of the academy graduates we've sold for peanuts during Lage and Nunos reign have gone on to become regular PL players?

As for Cundle, I dont think he let anyone down when he played last year. But he also look nowhere near ready to make any real difference.

10m on a cb fitting brunos profile want...10mil on a cm fitting brunos profile want...10 mil for a cf fitting brunos profile want...surely it isnt this hard ? 40 mil players sound great but we would all be happy with the three at the 10mil price point if they offer us something different woulfnt we? Obv they have let fabio go so he needs replacing too

So we lack a spine? Take three players in those positions out of any team bar Man City and suddenly they’re looking down not up. Look at Liverpool two years ago - no CHs due to injury and they scraped 4th place.

If we get three first team starters everyone will be happy, anything less and bottom six not top half is calling.

Absolutely no one that's the point. We spend XXm on other club's academy caste offs and treat our academy players so badly they go for peanuts. No 1st team regulars home grown in the last 4/5 years is appalling.
Forget the lack of transfers in this window where are the youngsters coming through.
If none break through this season we will always be a mid table club paying topdollar for other club's caste offs.

So how many academy players that have gone for peanuts are playing regular Championship football?

Could be Cundle's break through year, that's if they don't loan him out to a leagueb2 club to further his development and improve his value.

I haven't seen anything suggesting he's anywhere near a breakthrough as a PL player.
We need midfielders that make a difference, not passengers.
A loan would actually do him good.

We very rarely loan out our academy players to championship clubs, even when we do we'd rather pay XXm for someone else's academy caste off who has played in a lesser league than the championship.
Those that do well at Championship clubs get loaned out again immediately as they're not wanted/trusted by the club manager..

Maybe to a non league side to develop him.

You complain we sell our academy players for peanuts, so simple question how many have made it and you think could now add value to the first team and if none what's your point?

Interesting if we're playing 433 in preseason. Means we definitely need another CM

Dont agree on this one. Ramos not worth €45m .. €25m best .. trying to rip us off as usual .. better strikers at lower prices
Ramos looks good but I wouldn’t say, with the rumoured fee, it’s a deal worth sending Fabio on loan for.

Jordao would be back up in the championship
Both Jordao and Shabani looked promising then they broke through to the first tea but unfortunately both got injured in that match and have not had a decent return to full fitness yet. So how anyone can judge them yet has not got a lot of foundation to back that up.
