It was a bit bizarre on Saturday when he only had about ten minutes, but with Luton and Stade Rennais coming up I'm guessing he'll play a bigger part, especially next Saturday. Otherwise, I too will start to wonder.

I think Sarabia needs to play (in a best 11) ... I'm just not sure who to take out. He's by far the most creative player we have. And with an actual pre-season and better match fitness, I think he's due for a good year.

Sarabia caught my eye on Saturday!! Will benefit from a full preseason.
He is better suited to playing in the middle.
Was a nice surprise as I didn’t see anything in him last season

Like others, I'm getting very annoyed with Lopetegui's team selection. It's that bad it's bordering on sabotage to show he needs new signings. If he actually plans on playing Hodge, Cunha as a striker, using Silva for 10 mins etc. then we're in massive trouble.

However, now not the time to be sending messages. Our best XI need to start the next two games & that's it IMO (on the basis RAN is going to leave, otherwise he'd be LB).

With the team against rennes being the one likely fielded against Manure.

It will depend on Gomes's knock and if we risk him at all against luton or rennes (how far he is on recovery -told its nothing serious)

With the rumours of Lop working the players hard in training to get them super fit, could he not play a similar team for both games? Would be a good test of our fitness levels.

I get your thinking but I’m not sure they would make for much of a partnership on the right. Neither can take a man on or cross!

I get the feeling Sasa, Gomes and Bouba aren’t quite 100% fit, so aren’t getting as many minutes in preseason as you’d like to see. With that in mind, would at least like to see Silva get a chance from the start.

He had a few glimpses last season, but you could tell he was barely match fit. He has always been a player with an incredible engine, but you could see he was gassed multiple times last year.

I think Ireland tried something similar with Coleman at RB - didn’t work istr. Positioning all skewed, got in each others way etc.

Rob Edwards will want to get one over in us and prove that Luton can compete; he will play tough i think.

Shame I can't go tonight as I am out with family for a meal.

I will probably go on Saturday.

Remember Luton are going to be right at it tonight, full of enthusiasm, and its only a pre-season friendly if we get beat its not big deal what matters is the 3 points next April when they come to town.

I hope Sasa and Silva get some minutes tonight, I think getting them fit and keeping them fit could be the defining thing of our season we need at least a dozen goals from them pair over the course of a season.
