The if that doesn't work- keep the back 7 the same as much as possible but do go RAN for Hwang, Podence for Adama, Costa for Raul and Cunha for Guedes. I think there are very few teams that have those options and even less that could deal with them all coming on fresh for the last 30 mins.

Julen has found the way. At times we had 5 on 3 tonight- they couldn't deal with our attack or our press. Make sure every team has the same experience.

To be honest, I just have confidence in Lopetegui making the right team selection over the whole course of the match so I’m way more relaxed now than I was 2 months ago.

The thing that strikes me is that he appears to place far less emphasis on the starting lineup than most fans do - his plans are for the whole game, include mixing up the personnel waaay earlier in the game than some managers and the squad appear to understand that they all have a part to play (even if that isn’t as a starter, their opportunity will come for the greater good of the team)
