Sunderland injury list

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this, but Sunderland have an entire starting 11 injured at the moment. Looks like they have had some bad luck when you see the players they have out. Lets hope this works in our favour !!

Craig Gordon, Titus Bramble, Michael Turner, David Meyler, Fraizer Campbell are all out with knee injuries, while Kieran Richardson (fractured fibula), Lee Cattermole (back), Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck (both hamstring) remain on the sidelines.
Marcos Angeleri is consulting a specialist in Argentina over his knee problem.

They've also sent Muntari back, they're threadbare at the moment.

Frazier Cambpell's out as well meaning their entire strike force will be missing

Which helps me as his family won't necessarily be seeking me out next week (he's from Huddersfield :goodnight:)

Didn't Newcastle and Everton have loads missing? Didn't do us much good? Let's hope it's a different story tommorow?

I don't think they've sent Muntari back, just declared they're not going to sign him.

We do notorioisly badly against teams in turmoil

Yet they scored 4 against Wigan and then beat Bolton away & still have players such as Malbranque, Zenden, Henderson, Mensah, Bardsley, Ferdinand.

It will be tough if we play like retards again like our last away game.

Report also suggested he's played his last game for them. Kinda surprising given their current crisis and his last minute winner at the weekend. A disruptive influence wherever he's been though, I certainly wouldn't want him in my team that's for sure.

If Muntari plays one more game they have to sign him so they have sent him back to Inter. He is not available tomorrow

Well obviously they've still got good players fit but if we start at a high tempo again, like we did against Albion, later in the game we'll have decent players to come off the bench whereas they may have to rely on reserve/youth team players. Subs could win or lose the game...

Certainly no where near the amount missing that Sunderland have at the moment. I wouldn't say Everton have been on a bad run either.

Sunderland are an established middle-third (bottom end) PL team decimated with injuries with nothing to play for. If we can't go there and perform in our circumstances, frankly we deserve to go down. A result outcome can depend on many things in a match but commitment and application should always be there.

You know if Blackpool, Wigan West Ham were playing them I would think nailed on win....... however I am still really nervous about this one. We NEED 3 points - nothing else will do IMO as I think the bottom 3 will pick up points this weekend

True, we need to maintain a high tempo throughout the match and give them no respite. If we can't win this one we deserve to go down as you rightly say.

Yes. We've been presented with so many advantages during this run in, it's a scandal we haven't secured survival before now. Today is another one, we'll never have a better chance of winning there.
