Looking at the website, its home fans only in the "clubhouse" at the ground...has anyone got any idea where to drink near the ground?

From the Football Ground Guide :

If you like your real ale then it is worth taking the 15 minute walk to the 'Our Mutual Friend' pub in Broadwater Crescent. This pub which is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide offers seven beers on hand pump, plus real cider and perry.

According to this

http://www.footballgroundguide.com/stevenage/

Theres 3 other pubs close to the ground Our mutual friend, Roaring Megs and Standard Bearer pub which is a Wetherspoons. Think I might head for OMF which will probably be my reaction as well if its full of Stevenage fans. :D

Seems to be parking for twenty cars at the pub and lots of residential parking down St Margarets and only 7mins walk to the ground according to Gmaps

Cheers for that Waveney.

St Margarets looked alright at the back of the pub.

Many years ago, I used to live near Stevenage and played for them for a while. At that time the best bar near the ground was in the Roebuck Inn which was an olde world pub (now a small hotel) with good beers and only about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the ground.
