Just signed for Southampton. Great signing for a newly promoted club.

I don't think the pitch will be smooth enough for him to be potting snooker balls on

I just hope we take a look at the free agent and quality left back Sasa Papac...

Could be the big break he needs to really further his career.

This could be Davis's big break, do the Saints know what they’re doing or is it just pot luck?

Right on cue.

Can you play it again :D

No, your the one who's fouled. So I ask you to retake the shot while I consider renaming myself to Simply (The Interesting) Wolves.

What do you think, cushtie?

Will he get many free balls in the Prem?

He could bridge the gap in the middle of the park.

Joking aside he is a very, very good signing for Southampton. I would be an unhappy AVFC supporter right now as I would want him right back there if I supported them, never should have left in the first place.

Is this the same one that used to play for Burnley?

I remember seeing a sign in the back of a Burnley supporters coach on the way down to Wembley for the Sherpa Van Trophy final that read "Steve Davis will have Bulls balls in his Pocket".

Shame they forgot about Andy Mutch and Robbie Dennison!

Good signing expected him to end up a little higher than the saints though. Maybe the promoted clubs might make a fight of it again.

He is certainly a player I would have liked us to go for if we had stayed up.

Is his nickname Steve "the spider" Davies because he has the energy of eight legs?

Genuine question now, do people rate players according to football manager ?

Is many fans calling him great because he has a lot of bold blue on his stats? Me personally I ain't seen enough of him to judge him a great signing for a PL team, when there were a thread a few months back about rangers going into administration everyone was singling out Davis which I thought was odd, then I loaded up football manager and surprise surprise Davis had great stats on there.

Then again maybe there are a lot of fans who watches many many rangers games and see his quality stick out a mile unlike me.
