I detest the Mail, but I must admit, whenever I read Samuel, he seems pretty pragmatic, fair and reasonable. I like his articles and think he quite likes the fact that we (among others) are shaking things up a bit...

Over the next 3-4 years, I can foresee a Top 6, and even 1 or 2 of those (Arsenal in particular) permanently in positions 5 & 6 (therefore creating a Top 4!). You could then have teams 7,8,9 merging as a "chasing pack". This would mean a Top 4, then a chasing pack of 5 (say Chelsea, Arsenal, Wolves, Everton, Fulham), then everyone else making up the numbers....

Not beyond the realms of possibility....
