Without his goals and assists, we'd be relegated by now. He's been on the pitch trying to do everything on his own coz no other $$$$er is on his wavelength. The only shining light this season, what a pathetic thread.

Think he's had enough of doing it all on his own now. Can't blame him.

Solbakken's signings are the only good signings, far better than Mccarthy's dross.

Only if we had him in the premiership playing behind Fletcher with Jarvis on the wing.

Probably been getting fed up of being next to Kaptain Krab.

Hes done better than most. If we could play him as a deep central forward, he'd score bucket loads. Need another left sided option first though.

Exactly my point, Sigurdarson may well turn out to be a decent player with a bit of time though.

Sako has been SS only good signing because he has really been the only one who has played a lot of games. Doumbia has been hit and miss, Bubbie has been a bit part player due to injuries and we havent seen much of the others again through injuries.

McCarthys signings werent all dross, but a lot of them are showing exactly why they needed replacing now. Feeble minded, poor footballers with very questionable characters. I wont be sad at all to see the likes of Henry, Foley and Johnson out of this great club. They really are unfit to wear the shirt these days despite what some of them have done in the past.

Sako has so far been stale's only good signing. The rest have been........ Ordinary
Ordinary beats very poor.
However inconsistent Doumbia has been, he has actually scored for us this season and when he has played well has looked head and shoulders above certain other midfielders.

Fair point Cooky but for £3m, he should be bossing games in the Championship not just looking marginally better than the likes of Henry, Davis and Edwards.

It's imperative we stay up as the likes of Sako, Boukari, Doumbia and Sigurdarson are all young, very talented and could form the nucleus of a decent side next year. None of them will be here if we go down.

Thought Sako laid on the goal for Siggy in the last game. As others have said, without him we'd be relegated already. We're on our way anyway. Wonder when Henry last had anything to do with a goal, unless it was against us?

If his agent's got anything about him he'll already have lined up his summer move, Sako knows he won't be here next season so he's probably given up himself like the rest of them!

Interestingly Sako's older brother has just arrived at Telford for a weeks trial.

When he has played well is the problem. For 3 million the 'when's ' should be a LOT more than they are. Same with siggy ( 2.5 m ).

Torres cost 50m and already knew the league and joined. Settled winning team.

Sako joined a club in termoil and has carried us trough the season.

Sigs has started a handful of games, non really in his position. Harsh to criticise.

Iniesta or Xavi would struggle in a midfield that contained Henry and Edwards.

If some of you read the op you'll see he mentioned the last few games, not the season.
The thread then deteriorates into Mick slating and others who revere Sako as a superstar.

Lets be realistic. For me, he's an enigma. When good great when bad he's awful. Yes we should be grateful for what he is done but it doesn't mean he shouldn't be criticised?

Barnsley perfect example

Destroyed them early, turning them inside out then he tried to be super hero instead of settin up goals to go 2-0

Second half non existent when it was crunch

I agree, probably been our best player this season but some of his decision making is awful, going inside when he had Robinson wide, shooting instead of pulling the ball back and passing when a shot was the better option.

That said, he is still young and surely that is where coaching comes in.

Didn't we have a corner right at the end as well, that he floated straight onto the roof of the net?

Set piece in the last minute, you can't afford to waste those. Especially when at times this season it's looked like the only way we'd score.

He's got something about him, but still a bit too inconsistent. Cue a 30 yard thunderbolt into the top corner this afternoon.

Agree he is our most dangerous product and does possess great raw ability

But he's decision making is dire his consistency is non existent

When he tics we tic, if he's poor or no shows or simply oppenents mark him out of the game we are snuffed

When I first saw him he had an unbelievable dead ball delivery.

It seems to have disappeared!
