Well €12m is not far off what we paid for Bellegarde who is hot and cold that’s the market we find ourself in. Good player don’t get me wrong but sometimes the Iberians take a little longer to adapt. Neto, Neves & Jota made their names by working their balls off. The quality they had just was the cherry on the cake really

It’s crazy that back in 1996 (l think?) everyone was in shock at Newcastle paying £15M for Shearer saying that they had to win the league when making signings of that mag.

Here we are in 2024 and £12M is a kind of trial project that if is not successful then no one really cares.

Guess l’m showing my age. I can remember getting excited when Wolves signed Paul Birch for £400K (scored on his debut vs West Ham)
