Any news of an Official Wolves Tour? Recall when first announced that fans would be able to travel on the plane with the players. Not heard anything since.

It's a bit strange that Wolves have not mentioned the withdrawal of Roma from this tour. Not on their website anyway, as far as I know.

In fact, the thing they published today with Hwang in the hideous red shirt specifically mentions a match with Roma.

EDIT: I don't think the Roma withdrawal is official yet. That would explain it.

We are just awaiting the details of this and as it stands Wolves are still participating. Communication would be released as soon as possible if anything changes with this going forward. Apologies we do not have any further information with this at the moment.

Was hoping for greater affirmation what with our flights booked for 2 weeks time

Still no announcement from Wolves one way or the other, and still nothing official from Roma as well. It's really poor.

What a farce. Not sure if anyone is to blame. Not a great start to the season for Hwang though! Only positive is maybe something more accessible, Celtic at Molineux anyone?

Another pre-season tour cancelled.

Was hoping for some more silverware after our famous Asia Cup success a few years ago.

“Of course, this decision is a big blow to the club from a commercial perspective, but I am fully aware of the most important reason for pre-season, which is the preparation for another important Premier League campaign.

“Because of this, we have to move on quickly from this disappointment. We have to adapt, and will find a European solution to ensure the best possible preparation.”

Jones has also expressed his disappointment for fans in Korea who were hoping to see Hee Chan Hwang welcome his Wolves teammates to his home country.

“Korea was an exciting proposition for us because of the impact Hee Chan has had on the club from a marketing perspective, but also because of a lot of the work we have done over the last 12 months and the growth we have seen amongst our fan base in Korea.

“In the last three or four months, there have been so many people who have put a lot of hard work into this tour from an operational perspective.

“We wanted to give our fans in Korea – both those who exist currently, and hopefully lots of new fans – an amazing opportunity to meet the players and take part in different events and activities which we have been arranging.

“We already had a lot prepared and planned for our fans in Korea and we were really looking forwards to meeting them. This is why we’ve allowed this situation to play out as long as we have, but we have now reached the point where we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to source alternative plans for this summer.


Expect a portugal or spanish alternative announced soon

Let’s hope they can get something decent sorted asap. Last year’s pre season was a catalyst for the disaster that followed.

Hopefully they'll come to Spain, we moved over here this year and it's sods law it'll be the first time in ages they weren't due over here.

No because Roma saw this coming and pulled out a week or so ago, and Celtic are playing in Japan more than Korea.

Plus, as far as I know, they didn't fail to organise a pre-season tour last year, like we did with America.

We're either really unlucky again and again, or the people involved are just incompetent.
