PC Problem

My PC crashed this afternoon, everythings running fine I think - its just seems to have lost all my defaults and says it cant find my profile when loading up? All my desk top items/folders have been moved to Documents and Settings. Also my favourites have all disapeared from my internet browser?

any ideas?

Tried a System Restore? I'm assuming you have XP.

If you are on AOL - after you reboot it, it can take a couple of days for your favourites to return, poss other providers too ? - its happened to me

I found out last night that my user profile was corrupted so I had to set up a new user administrator account and transfer everything across to my new profile and delete the old. It took ages but is sorted thank god
