Beat either City, Arsenal or Liverpool and **** up their title challenge.

I know it's a long shot but in the words of Keegan: I would love it if we beat them
I really hope Arsenal ***** up!

Really bad losers, with Arteta not giving credit to anyone and players like ‘permatan’ Ben White who is a ****!

I would love to beat any of those 3, which is unlikely, but above all let’s derail Arsenal.

Denying Liverpool in Klopp’s last game would be magnificent.

Still gutted about today and how this season has fizzled out though. Sounds ridiculous to be gutted about the Conference League but it’s a European trophy we’d have had a realistic chance of winning. Can’t see their being many better opportunities of that (or reaching Wembley) in my lifetime.

Would love to see City lose the league……in fact anything any competition they’re in.
I know others feel differently but to each his own.

Hence the long shot comment mate
I think at full strength we're a match for anyone, but my pessism is a mixture of factors, not least of which we've developed a tendency to roll over if we play a big gun in the final game.

Don't disagree with you at all but beating one of any of them would complete our season for me

Another double over Man City it is then.

We did it with Nuno and could do it again with GON, especially if we can get most of our injured players back from injury.

So who exactly do you want to win the league? I don't get the thrust of this thread.

I peed myself laughing at West Ham's crap "Champions of Europe" song though. They won the third level European competition playing against Icelandic penguin keepers etc. Would they have the nerve to go to Citeh who won the big one and sing that crap?

Worse to see such a touchable chance at both screwed up in the space of three weeks. 8th place would likely have gotten us into Europe. As you say, when is the next time coming in one's life time? I had a similar pit in my stomach after Watford. "Just missing out" is Fosun's motto. Denying Klopp is the next goal, but if Pool are in control on the last day, we're rolling over as ever. Would need City to do the business again.

Pat Murphy the veteran BBC Radio 5 reporter mocked the West Ham fans when they were singing that at the City Ground recently. As he pointed out to them Nottingham Forest do have 2 Proper European Cups in their trophy cabinet.

What fans who play the Private Shop Select 11 should chant is " Champions of England, You'll never sing that ! " as they have precisely ZERO League title trophies in their cabinet. Or brown paper bag rather than a cabinet seeing they are owned by a porno company ;););)

My one wish at the beginning of each season is that we don't get relegated, so I am happy that we have managed to achieve that. That really is the extent of my ambitions for us these days due to the financial landscape football finds itself in. If we ever managed to win a cup, obviously that would be a massive bonus.

I’ve got a bit of hope for Arsenal at home.

The fixture comes at the perfect time. They’re doing weekend/midweek up until then, and it comes three days after Bayern Munich away which I presume will be demanding both physically and emotionally no matter the result.

They then have games against Chelsea and Spurs within the next week.

It’s also Saturday night and should be a brilliant atmosphere after a day of drinking.

Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be putting any money on us, but it’s got all the ingredients we could want to try and pull off a shock, and Cunha/Hwang should be fit.

For some inexplicable reason i think we will beat one of them
We will need them to miss the myriad of chances that inevitably come their way, and for once us to take the sparce crumbs that fall ours
Arsenal could well be that team as noted above, but i wouldnt bet against a last game upset either
I dont think we have a team that will wilt under pressure and just hope we can get 2/3 players back at their best for those games, then who knows?

Liverpool away on the last day (3rd season out of 6 since our return to the Premier) is probably going to be horrific.

1) They could have already won the league, although it's unlikely, meaning we have to give them a guard of honour on to the pitch and witness the celebrations...
2) They clinch the league, against us...
3) Even if they don't win the league, the Klopp love in for his last game will be nauseating.

Seriously, me, my lad and the mates we go with are thinking of not going.

BUT !!!!!

If we win ...

AND ...

Deny them the title ...

Surely you'd want to be there? The farewell to Klopp will mostly be at the end of the game, don't you think? Lap of honour, clapping the fans, etc? Away fans will either stay and take the **** or leave and go celebrate somewhere (in the event of a win and a title denial).

Maybe. That's the one very slim possibility that makes us not sure what to do. To be honest though, that happened the season before last, or at least City's win over Villa meant Liverpool finished second, and the novelty of taking the p**s soon wears off.

Same at Arsenal last season. 90 minutes of the away end singing 'you nearly won the league' whilst getting beaten heavily at The Emirates wasn't great! Good pub before hand. Good Jerk Chicken food in a local fast food place... and then the match...

Can I buy 2 of your tickets off you then please as you know it's like finding rocking horse pooh getting a ticket to an away game not being an away season ticket holder. I have been successful in the ballot once - got tickets against villa - just my luck.

No harm in asking... But you know what it's like. We'll most likely crack and go anyway!

Obviously I’d want us to win all 3, but if I had to choose 1, denying Liverpool and Klopp would be the most satisfying!

Can you honestly see the powers allowing that to happen? We are being set up to get stuffed for audience viewing figures.

100% this. To stop Liverpool winning the league in Klopp last game would be spectacular. Old Klipperty would have steam coming out his ears at the grass being too long, it being too breezy, them being too good to win, the half time tea being too hot. The media fallout would be like a monarch dying.

They want us to be the Washington Generals in relation to the Harlem Globetrotters. Turn up play the game in a sporting manner, maybe even go a goal up to help the drama but eventually after a gallant effort roll over and let the Scousers win by 3 or 4 so the vast majority of the crowd and more importantly the TV audience and advertisers get what they always wanted.

Sadly a more realistic outcome is Liverpool going not for the win but a big win to boost their goal difference. Strangely whatever the score if they fell one goal short I’d be happy, especially if we scored in the last minute as they push for their tenth!

VAR will ensure we get nothing against Liverpool, so forget about that game. Elsewhere, Luton, Forest and Burnley will find themselves on the end of ridiculous decisions as the Premier League do all they can to save Everton FC.

Wishful thinking on my part but if we can end up on 48-50 points then that’s ok by me considering how we started last August.

Although we most probably won’t get a European place we still can be a major disrupter and effect the final outcome?!
