Must say I think my favourite piece of older Wolves related media is the video of the players training in the car park.
So i was wrong on both counts . nothing unusual there then, LOL.Your'e right and the physio is Toby Andersen.
I hadn’t thought of that either .was thinking it was in a training session, but your probably right,

Not Rafferty on the bench.Bill Rafferty, or Rafael Villazan. I think the jury is still out on this,
Am sure our own judge Northnorfolkwolf QC will pass judgement.

probably not, but he's got Rafferty's boots on in the pic, , that's what fooled me,Not Rafferty.
yeah but both are very similar in appearance,Top photo is Billy Rafferty.
One on the bench is Villazan.
I love the fact his favourite car was a Ford Fiesta. The modern lot wouldn't be seen dead in anything suchlike.Your'e right and the physio is Toby Andersen.
Never seen that video before. Must have been the summer of 58, between our last two League Championships. Great video!1958: WOLVES - England's MOST ADVANCED FOOTBALL Club
Interesting video from the BBC Archive.
I would like to know if anyone on here watched the Wolves from the front of the South Bank and Waterloo Road stand in the time of some of these photos as looked to me like all you would see were 22 pairs of legs
I did, for the first matches I went to from 1954 to 1958. I was too small to stand in the crowd, I wouldn't have seen a thing. So my Dad plonked me on the 'wall' directly behind the South Bank goal. If the ball hit the back of the net in front of where I stood, I could literally reach out and touch it. Could also sprinkle dirt on the policemen's boots without them noticingI would like to know if anyone on here watched the Wolves from the front of the South Bank and Waterloo Road stand in the time of some of these photos as looked to me like all you would see were 22 pairs of legs
I am so reminded of Mr Cholmondley-Warner!1958: WOLVES - England's MOST ADVANCED FOOTBALL Club

The clip is from the BBC' s midweek sports programme called "Sportsview", which was the only regular show covering sport on TV back then. The studio anchor is Peter Dimmock, with a youthful David Coleman (in a bow tie!) doing the interview. It was a must see for me as a kid, but I don't remember this interview from 1958 at all. I must have been sent to an early bed that evening for being a naughty boy! At the time of this show, we were one of only a couple of families in our street to have a TV!This is really good:
What a beautiful stadium that was.
