Given that monaco are one of the clubs within the Mendes network and there is a small possibility that Monaco could get relegated - which players from monaco should wolves be interested in if relegation occurs? Gelson Martin's is one player who is on loan at monaco who we could get due to the Mendes link.

If Monaco are relegated, they aren't in the same position as a lot of relegated clubs in the sense that they could almost literally swim in their own money. They wouldn't be in any way close to having to needing to sell and could easily trampoline back to Ligue 1 with the players they have unless they try force moves away.

This is such an over-simplified view. If Hazard played for Huddersfield this season and they were still relegated, would that make Hazard a poor player? Of course not. Similarly, just because James Maddison played in the Championship last season doesn't mean he was a Championship player and wouldn't cut it in the top flight, as has been proven.

Rony Lopes is a player I'd definitely take: think he had an injury at the start of this season, then struggled in a poor Monaco side. But the previous season he was on fire. Has that tenacious, individual ability to make something out of nothing, like Jota.

Imagine he'd cost € 25-30m though, unless Jorge can work his magic...
