Twas a Thursday night in January
And Molimix was rife
With ‘Sack Mad Mick!’ and ‘Morgan Out!’
And ‘Stability, not strife!’
For Wolves had lost to Scumbag Blues,
Dumped out the FA Cup;
And Moxey’d said in a press release:
‘The Steve Bull’s staying up’
Staying up? Not coming down?
Unlike, as it would seem,
Wolves’ hopes of staying in the Prem
And living the Greed League dream.
The keyboard warriors rattled away,
Dissecting every word
Of what Steve Morgan said last spring,
And whether ‘$$$$’ meant ‘turd’:
“If ring-fenced means a ring and fence,
Then where is all the dosh?
Not spent on players, that’s for sure:
Look at Egg, what a load of tosh!â€
The team had looked like they couldn’t be *****:
While Mad Mike grimaced and raged;
Big George huffed and Hammill puffed;
So what? They’d get their wage!
Silently, the fans sat there;
Livid, with some in tears:
"How long do we have to put up with this $$$$?"
