Ok Bruno/Frank/Paulo/Rafa etc

Please as a priority sort out our midfield. If there is any money to spend perhaps £25m or so on Renato Sanches to beautifully complement Neves and create some forward thrust to our current impotent midfield. If the two of them do well together in the Euros their value can only rise but in one signing you will be giving the whole team a lift and giving Neves another reason to stay rather than go. The sale of Mir might cover half that fee.

Secondly, Vincius on a loan to buy with Vinagre as the makeweight. Little immediate financial impact but sorts out our striker options at a stroke with Raul and Fabio.

Thirdly, there are many CB options going the rounds. If we are going for it then Badiashile at Monaco is a tremendous prospect and we have shown interest before. Another loan to buy ideally but probably £25m paid over several instalments with a small first payment to cover this difficult season coming. Possible makeweights, Dendoncker, Saiss, even Podence? If we are not going for it perhaps Souttar at Stoke worth considering at say £10m.

Keep Rui unless we can get £15m plus from Roma or whoever.....

Offer Moutinho a player/coach role to keep him on board over several years - a wonderful role model for younger players to emulate...

Sign Ait-Nouri for as little as possible - perhaps £15m rather than £20m - a rough diamond worth persevering with

Unless we can loan him for another season don't spend £18m on Vitinha when there are other priorities and MGW needs opportunities. Alternatively if negotiable a much smaller fee £12m max.

Jose obviously goodbye

Neves keep beyond any other player. If someone offers £50m plus ok consider but not a penny less and even then think VERY hard about the implications on the morale of the squad - never mind the fans.

That's it for now but another couple of signings - another midfielder and a wing back may be required, perhaps a goalie too if Ruddy leaves. MGW if he progresses may fill one gap and Marcal the other IF he can stay fit. Keep Otasowie close to hand and start giving him opportunities off the bench to encourage him.

If we have to sell to buy then Traore and Podence could raise plenty of dosh but nothing less than £35m for Adama should be acceptable - roughly twice what we paid. If he does something great for Spain easily achievable.

Good luck...

Not disagreeing widely with any of that, but Vitinha remains a mystery to me. Seems to be seen as an either or with MGW in a CAM role by most, but lots also tell us he really should be alongside Neves. We do need players right down the spine though (especially if going away from 3 at the back).

Get a decent sized squad, no reliance on kids, ensure serious cover for Jimenez (in case he does not come back as we hope), play on the front foot, take the Cups seriously and try to score in the first half of games.

Methinks a similar role with Nuno may be on the cards far away from the aesthetics of Wolverhampton.

You may be right but as Goldeneyed said Moutinho would be a great role model for the youngsters. If Nuno's replacement is Portuguese, who knows.

If the Portuguese connection continued could even see Moutinho as a future manager if that is a route he would consider. But he might have to leave at some point and try his hand somewhere else beforehand. But to start with two or three years as a first team coach with us.

I meant to add to manager suggestions a swoop for Trincao on a loan to buy.

I think I’d rather have Moutinho as manager, really worried about this appointment

When people say on here to just sign a player for less than the agreed post-loan fee we have in place, what planet are they on?

I’d love to see how those negotiations go.

It may well depend on the finances of the selling club. If they need cash they may reduce the fee but that might mean other clubs are able to enter the bidding. So it's possible I suppose.

We need someone taller than Sanches in CM and a few around the rest of the team or we are going to end up conceding loads from set pieces again

I don't want to sound like Tony Pulis but it's got to the point where our team is ludicrously short, with some of the taller guys being not that good in the air(Fabio, neves).

Should have put your phone number in the post so that the new manager can ring Goldeneye Consultancy Ltd for advice when they take on the job :)

Need all sorts in a good team. In our promotion season, we were excellent on set pieces
