A captain’s performance today. Over the top to say he came of age as a leader this afternoon?

Not at all. He’s been really good recently and has started to add a bit more aggression to his game. Immense today and ice-cold in a red-hot atmosphere.

He’s never going to be hugely vocal in the way of a Coady but is leading by example through his performances.

Just starting to come into what should be his peak years and has all the tools of a top-class centre-half.

Starting to come around to the Kilman captain and that he is also growing into the role. I really believe that we need Dawson there as the big, shouting centre half next to him as shown in the derby. Dawson as the enforcer and then Kilman as the calm, assured leadership who stands up when he needs to.

Just depends what you want from a Captain. Dawson and Lemina are the ones telling people what to do on the pitch, Kilman is more the strong silent type leading by example.

I've always felt a bit uneasy about him playing on the right of the 3 as a left footed player.

But his ability with his right foot has really come on. So much so, it's almost unnoticeable at times that his left foot is his strongest.

His assist for the Cunha goal demonstrated what having a left footed player there gives you. The ability to play a quick pass, at an angle that a right footed player would struggle to achieve.

Kilman is a great focal point for the club, your captain doesn't need to be screaming and shouting for 90 mins. There are leaders all over the pitch in the likes of Dawson, Lemina even Gomes. He is calm and relaxed on the field, he seems a good professional off it, just goes about his business and leads by example.

Is this the sequel to the gripping documentary from a few weeks ago, 'PL Club Captains: The Shower Gel Rota Uncovered'? (Really like Kilman but it wasn't exactly blockbuster stuff.)
