Braga, Sporting and Monaco are all clubs with high expectations and he met them. He finished 3rd with Braga, winning a club record 15 games in a row. 2nd with Sporting in his only season there, then headhunted by Monaco. Obviously, his Monaco side was exceptionally talented, but he also consistently had his best players sold year on year, Monaco brought in young players to replace star talent being sold and his finishes in Ligue 1 were 3rd, 3rd, 1st and 2nd.

Ironically the one year he had a settled squad they won the league and made the semi-finals of the Champions League. They sold Mbappe, Silva, Mendy, Bakayoko that summer and he still managed to get them to 2nd.

This was the source who said we had considered Jardim. Sounds like we're sticking with Steve Davis until November though, which I actually think is the right thing to do rather than rushing into the wrong move.
