A player who played against us a few times in our cup exploits against the likes of Stevenage and also whilst he was at Burton, but is probably best known for having a name that looks like a spelling mistake, is starting to make some serious headlines as a manager with League One Portsmouth.

Having been chairman of the PFA during his playing career, Mousinho took on his first managerial role with Pompey in January with them lying in 15th having not won a game for three months, and looking precariously over their shoulders.

Portsmouth have now been in League One for 6 seasons and outside the Prem for an incredible 12 years - the days of Harry, Nico and Crouchy seem like only yesterday - but even taking that into consideration his appointment was still pretty underwhelming with many fans questioning whether he had the credentials for a relegation slog.

Fast forward nine months, and Mousinho has been nothing short of a sensation, only just missing out on the play offs after an impressive unbeaten run at the tail end of last season, which has now extended to 22 games across two seasons with Portsmouth sitting pretty at the top of the table.

He hasn't even spent his way out of trouble - he's mostly taken players who weren't wanted elsewhere on free transfers - including former Wolf Will Norris - and has somehow got them playing some scintillating football.

Definitely a name to keep an eye on (and not because you misread it) and perhaps a reminder to us that, whilst his success is in a probably more forgiving league, experience isn't always everything.
